Hell yeah!
Bob Odenkirk and David Cross were ahead of their time with their 90s Python-esque cult comedy. With a new Odenkirk-and-Cross collaboration premiering on Netflix, George Gurley looks back—and ahead—at the duo’s comic exploits.

Good for Evan Young. And good for Larry Wilmore for giving him a platform to deliver his speech.

I'm going to miss John Stewart's voice, but having the Nightly Show should soften the blow.
A Colorado high school bars its valedictorian from delivering a graduation speech in which he planned to come out of the closet, so he recites it on the show.

Broken knee cap, done for the Finals. Damn.

Get better, Kyrie.
Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving left last night’s NBA Finals game one in the overtime period with a left knee injury. He received an MRI today at Stanford Sports Medicine Clinic, which revealed a fractured left knee cap. He will have surgery to repair the knee in the coming days at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland by Cavaliers head team physician Dr. Richard Parker. His recovery time is projected to be three to four months and his status will be up...

A nice take on Coach Blatt's "system", and why his accomplishments seem to be getting overlooked. It'll also give me a few things to look at tonight when I find myself getting antsy about the amount of iso-ball they play sometimes. Let's go #Cavs!
By Harri Mannonen David Blatt is doing a stellar job as the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is not only winning big time, but he’s also successfully challenging the current mainstream of offensive tactics in the NBA. That combination is a remarkable feat—especially given Blatt’s...

Albuquerque's own Holly "The Preacher's Daugther" Holm will be taking on Ronda Rousey in January. Let's go, Holly!
UFC star Ronda Rousey announced her next fight exclusively on “Good Morning America” today. “January 2nd I’ll be fighting Holly Holm, who is actually the most decorated striker we have in all of Mixed Martial Arts,” Rousey, 28, said. “She is definitely my biggest challenge to date so I’m super...

I was very impressed with the fans at the Q last night. Like most of them, I stayed to the bitter end. Sure, there was disappointment, but no vitriol, no screaming, and everything seemed tempered with a realization that we got to witness something pretty special for a large part of the season.

I remain All In, and will always be that way. Next year starts now. Thank you Cavs for a great season. Can't wait to see this team back at full strength!

I recently gave a tour of one of our Open Spaces here in Albuquerque that was the former site of Little Beaver Town, an amusement park that operated in the early 1960's. A local blogger attended the tour, and here's his write-up:

After trailing 2-1 in the series, you could say the Cleveland Cavaliers turned things around against the Chicago Bulls. LeBron James & Co. won three straight, including the clincher: Thursday night's emphatic 94-73 victory in Chicago. Then someone had a little fun on Wikipedia (to you ...

Albuquerque has a lot of good restaurants, but precious few great ones. Elaine's is one of the great ones, and gets my vote for the best restaurant in town. I've been twice so far, and every course has been outstanding. Very creative flavor combinations without going too complex - just excellent, honest food.

Had a great stay there over Labor Day Weekend with a group of friends. Location was great, and the deal we got by reserving a block of rooms was unreal. Leading up to the visit, the staff was extremely responsive, accommodating, and helpful. This continued throughout the weekend while we were there, we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. I doubt I'd stay anywhere else for any of my upcoming trips to Denver.

I avoid this place as much as I can. Occasionally, there will be a band that I want to see enough that I'll bite the bullet and go to the Sunshine. The acoustics are terrible, and patrons are treated more like potential inmates than paying customers. A poor reflection on Albuquerque's music scene.

Dugger's is the go-to service provider for our roadside assistance club (Better World Club), and we have used them several times. Every time, the drivers arrive at or well before the estimated time given, and they are always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. While it's never fun to have to get your car towed, Dugger's makes the situation about as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended.

A great addition to Nob Hill. I've been there several times already, and each time the burger has been outstanding. I'd put it up against any burger in town. All the meat, veggies, and even the buns are locally-sourced, and really fresh. Even the beers - all 30+ on tap - are local as well. My new favorite spot.
