I love the new issue of edible Hawaiian Islands magazine so much that I created this little picture scavenger hunt. The prize is a $10 gift card from Java Cafe in Kihei (off-island winners receive alternate prize). The ‘Unauthorized’ edible Hawaiian Islands scavenger hunt info: You’ll need a copy of ‘edible Hawaiian Islands’ Spring 2014, …

Seems to me that they had a simple right to detain in this case, but once they had the basic info to see that there was no evidence of terrorist activity, then they had no need to detain any further.  The constant interruptions and questions by the person videotaping were annoying and baseless, and I think the officers handled themselves well considering that they didn't yell, threaten or assault anyone.  Fortunately for the videographer these police officers were tame.

This IS my favorite coffee cafe on the entire island of Maui. The coffee here is tasty, fresh and I get my choice of fresh brewed coffee without the fluff and the profits going to Seattle! This place rocks! Wifi is great for coworking. The interior is Air Conditioned and there are plenty of seats and tables outside too. The staff is warm, friendly and often so happy they sing and dance a little :) Tip: Try the Ka'anapali Mocha Peabury coffee!

Recently I have been enjoying the homemade soups at Cafe Carmen. So tasty! The atmosphere is wonderful, the view amazing and the service... outstanding. The food is fresh and made with Aloha. I can honestly say that I frequent Cafe Carmen often, and it is by far one of the best experiences of any Maui restaurant! My Tip: They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving a nice selection of beer and wine too. Bonus: Wifi available here!

When I was first starting out I was lucky to work with Anna at Realty World Neighbors to purchase my first house. She made the process understandable, friendly and rewarding. I was so very pleased with the experience that I worked with Anna again to sell that house and buy another house a few years later. I recommend Realty World Neighbors without reservation!
