I was really excited to try some New Zealand steak, and ordered the Surf & Turf, which was a massive dish that included West Coast ribeye, tiger prawns, and New Zealand green lip mussels. The dish was only 3 stars. The steak, though cooked medium rare, was a bit tough. There was waaay to much butter and white cream over the food. However, my wife ordered the ribs, and that dish was a solid 5 star. One of the best ribs I've had in a while. Fall of the bone tender, and well-seasoned. The ribs also came with fat potato wedges that were also delicious. The service was friendly, though be careful, during high tourist season, you might have to wait up to an hour for a table!

This church has a super unique facade, and stands towering above the city of Reykjavik. Definitely worth a quick visit.

I've been to a lot of aquariums, and the Toronto Aquarium ranks up there in the top 10. It's got a wide variety of underwater exhibits, and plenty of interactive stations where you can get hands-on with the sea life. The sharks are always a crowd-pleaser, and one of the highlights is the moving walkway that winds through a glass tunnel under the massive central tank. Definitely a must-see in Toronto, especially if you happen to visit on a rainy day and need an indoor activity.

My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. This place isn't big, but what it lacks in size, it makes up in energy, friendliness, and good food. Lively neighborhood vibe paired with solid food. I ordered the catch of the day: a pan-fried ling cod served on a bed of mashed potatoes and fresh greens. It was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked--tender and not over-cooked. It was close to Christmas, so we also ordered some mulled wine to get us in the holiday mood. The staff was also super friendly, and it seemed like most of the crowd were locals. I would definitely recommend this place for your next visit to Reykjavik.

I was really disappointed with Luckee. While the dishes were generally well-prepared, with good ingredients, the menu was very limited, and all the dishes were overpriced. When it comes to dim sum, however, I'm more of a traditionalist. I don't need fancy crab dumplings topped with truffle. Also, $18 for a beef short rib lunch rice bowl?? Overall, while the flavors were pretty decent here, I'd recommend you head elsewhere to one of the many other great dim sum restaurants in Toronto.

Solid Chinese food in the center of downtown Toronto. A great option if you're craving good (though not amazing) Chinese food, and don't want to schlep all the way to Chinatown. Some dishes can be a bit salty, but overall all the dishes were pretty solid.
