Basically, get sleep. <3
Arianna Huffington, president and editor in chief of Huffington Post, calls for the need to redefine success to not only include money and power, but also the "third metric," which includes well-being, wisdom, and our ability to wonder and to give back.

Been to any live-streamed concerts recently? What about on  #googlehangoutsonair ?

If it was a band that I was willing to pony up to see live, the option to stream wouldn't keep me from going.  However, kids and cost of tickets these days being the primary limiting factor, I would probably watch the stream of a show for a band that I wouldn't have normally gone to see live.

I re-discovered a letter I wrote at 22 years old about what it's like to be a first-generation college student struggling financially through college. The letter wasn't planned; it was merely a response to my college's suggestion that I share my experience. It breaks me to read these words and remember what it was like, knowing that right now, students are still struggling through school, and some will not make it to their dreams. I'm publishing this one for anyone who has felt the weight of paying for college, bit by bit, fearing the moment when scraping by no longer worked, when all the cards had been played, and it all comes crashing down. Maybe through sharing these stories, we can try to fix at least the anxiety and isolation that comes with feeling like someone who doesn't belong, who can't make it. I'm here to share to say that it was tough, and I did it. We can all do it, if we pull together.
In 2008, I wrote a (now re-discovered) letter about my college financial aid experience. It reminds me we have a long way to go for education equity, but I am hopeful.

I didn't expect that escaping away to France would rekindle my love for tech, but seeing Old World winemakers using New World tech in such fascinating ways warmed my soul. I love what's possible with technology, and I was reminded of that while away.
