Friend zone is best zone.

Please show me to the Friend Zone!

Is there a waiting list to this cool place?

I hate the term "friend zone". It used to be called unrequited love, but thanks to pretty much every book, movie and play ever, unrequited love is creepy, and usually associated with rape and a murder-suicide, so we can't have that!

In the Palo Alto area? Join us at a panel this evening (6pm) about surveillance and the Internet. It's now free to the public. Star panelist is Whit Diffie, one of the great crypographers ever.

After a recent purchase*, I now own 11"x11" Post-it notes (I didn't know they could be that big) and a pack of  multi-colored Sharpies.

Consider me officially dangerous.

Simple, easy, obvious.

Frustrated by the USB port placement on iMacs? Here's a neat little extender to give you a port in easy reach.

Bluelounge has created a nifty and simple solution to the problem of not being able to reach the USB ports on the back of your iMac.

+Erica Joy I should say that it's a great idea that made me smile with genuine appreciation. It's just that my second reaction was that the problem this solves (and I deal with it every day) shouldn't exist.

> Google Drive has a "scan" feature that uses my phone's camera to upload nicely enhanced images of documents. They look just like they came from a normal scanner. But only as PDF.

> HSA management site allows me to upload scanned receipts, but "only" supports common image formats (bmp, jpg, png, tiff).

> Adobe Acrobat Reader for Android can export to other formats.
> If you pay a $1.99/month subscription.

> MobileSystems OfficeSuite, which shipped with my phone, won't open PDF.

Is interoperability really so fucking hard?

I use Google Drive to scan and QuickOffice to view pdf files on my phone. Does OCR, searchable and zoomable. Works great.

Cyclists! I have questions!

Anyone have "The Seat" (http://amzn.to/RF8jlj)?

If yes, what are the pros/cons? Suggestions for a better seat? Looking for anything that won't make my butt hurt.

This is my saddle, easily the best I've ever had.  It forces you to put your weight on your sitbones, which is great for longer rides.

Excellent atmosphere, comfortable plush couches and chairs. Seems like a place one could spend all night if they lost track of time.

Delicious cupcakes, friendly staff. It is situated right next to an Apple store so be sure to go during off hours to avoid the parking nightmare.

Hareg is the best at sew-ins. She is super fast and efficient and doesn't charge an arm and a leg. So glad I discovered her in the South Bay since it saves me from having to drive all the way to Oakland to get my hair done.

Somehow in the last 6 months this Safeway has become completely infested with fruit flies. _Anything_ fresh in there has fruit flies in, on, or around it. I wish I'd thought to take a picture of the fruit flies I saw in the packaged on site pastries. This Safeway is awesome for anything prepackaged and also 24 hour alcohol runs but leave the "fresh" stuff (donuts, pastries, fruits, veggies, butcher meats) alone.

Most of the threaders are pretty good but there is one who is very young and soft spoken who does not know how to make eyebrows even. Avoid her if you can.
