I'm my feverish stupor (getting over the flu still) I have decided to build a second channel where I can review and talk about anything I want to. You guys have been asking me to make a second channel for a while. Now seems like a good time to do it.

I LOVE reviewing tech and of course I won't stop but I need to be able to talk about other things I enjoy too.

I'm sure I will be making a video on my main channel to tell you when it's live. I also have an official website going live soon too. It's just about finished and looks professional thanks to the talents of my husband.

So isn't Keurig the company that came up with those unbelievably trashy K-Cups? Wouldn't it be wise to not deal with them in any way?

I just took the #LGG5 apart today to replace the back cover. Thank you +etradesupply
I like the modular aspect of this phone for the most part but it's not as easy to fix as you might think...not if the back cover is what you are trying to replace.

It isn't for the feint of heart. There are a lot of tiny pieces and taped bits to worry about, lots of things that can bend and break.

I succeeded but the camera glass ended as a casualty. Heat helped to remove most of it unharmed. I hope I can get all the pieces I need to make it like new.

I also will have a battle scar from my metal spudger (the display wasn't that easy to get up lol).

I had fun though and now I can proceed to put the original back cover in a flame to see what burns off. I can't help being curious.

What is actually going on with the #HTC10 Speakers? When I play a stereo test track that only either puts out a left channel or a right channel the HTC 10 performs like a stereo phone does. It outputs the left channel on the left and right on the right. It doesn't do a stereo to mono downmix.

Is the top just favoring high frequencies and left channel only while right button is like a subwoofer and right channel only?

When we hear sound, we always hear reflections of that sound. The reflections add, to make the original sound seem louder even though they're slightly delayed. Even if the reflected, delayed sound is louder than the original, our brain knows that the source of the sound is where it first heard it from.

They could be adding a slight delay to the sound coming from the speaker on the "wrong" side, so that it appears to the user that the sound comes from the "correct" side.

Again, I will got out to test out the Rhino Shield Crash Guard
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DvhljsZY88
But this time it will be for the #GalaxyS7. I want to make this one an Epic of sorts, dreary footage, fun costuming if I can. Washington is a beautiful place, so I want to go around to several locations to do these drop tests.

Now since the Galaxy S7 is also water resistant, I want to add some water scenes into this as well. I can think of running rivers around here, ice caves, large rocks where this thing can tumble down from.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I think I found a good epic track for all of this to line up with.

What kind of tests do you guys want to see?

A worry for the future:

There is some tech I don't really like and I'm not comfortable with. #VirtualReality is one of them.

What's wrong with THIS reality? With AR and VR I worry that people are going to, even more willingly, give up actually living in favor of the virtual. We already never move our noses from our phones and computers, unless you have found a balance (trust me, I'm working on one to not lose my mind).

I've tried VR. It's cool. But I don't want to spend more than a few minutes a day in it.

Also from what I have seen at this point, It's notoriously hard to make videos about VR, as it can't really be shown on camera, unless you can somehow cast from the VR space. Even then, it's not immersive to show in video. All we can do is talk about the experience.

I'm torn. Thoughts? I love talking about tech and how it enriches our lives but I don't want to lose my life over it either.

Not talking about legitimate applications, like for engineering or medical industries. I'm talking about consumer use

Grumble, Grumble...I broke my camera glass but it was worth it because I broke it while transferring all the parts from my original #LGG5 back cover into my replacement one from +etradesupply.

Now I can get a better look at the materials LG used. Fire might become involved... not sure.

I heard back from HTC about the #HTC10 speakers. This was in regards to my question: :Why does the HTC10 play a stereo test track like stereo - top is the left channel and bottom is right channel?" Thoughts?

"In BoomSound’s Music mode, the separation is as I described it: tweeter (high frequencies) at the top, woofer (mid to low frequencies) at the bottom. This is the focus of the sound, although the speakers aren’t entirely mutually exclusive — you’ll still hear some mid to low frequencies at the top and some high frequencies at the bottom. In this way, you’ll get a stereo effect, albeit not a true balanced stereo.

In BoomSound’s Theater mode, both speakers will be more balanced in power and we apply a virtual Dolby surround effect.

You can change the mode by tapping the BoomSound option under Settings."

They just use a shallow high pass filter on the top speaker which will give you some mid/low bleed. Me thinks a crash course in speaker/crossover operation is needed so things like this don't confuse you in the future.

Is it just me or does each new #AmazonKindle generation tend to have issues with the frontlight uniformity/implementation until the kinks are worked out?

This is my second #KindleOasis that looks like this. I suppose I'd wait a few months until these are really in Stock and then try again. +Amazon.com
