One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a small business. Bill, the owner, is the one who quoted me over the phone. He said they had a $100 base price and then $3 per step, which seemed reasonable. I asked him point blank if there were any other fees or hidden charges and he said no. They day of the move, his crew picked up the piano with no issues. Once we arrived at the destination, the first thing they said was that they were going to have to charge a $35 "corner fee" for moving the piano into the room it was in. I reiterated what Bill had said about no other fees, so they got him on the phone. Bill said that he of course mentioned a fee for corners, and that I must have not heard him. There is absolutely no way he mentioned it to me since I confirmed multiple times during our call that the only fees were $100 + $3/step. Bill also upped the corner fee to $40 while he was on the phone for no apparent reason. I didn't know what to do since they had already moved the piano and wouldn't be reasonable, so I paid them what they were asking (almost $200) and decided I would let others know my experience. It appears from reading reviews on other sites that a bait and switch is a common practice for Thresher Piano Movers. They get your business by quoting you the lowest price over the phone, and then charging hidden fees once they are in your home. Although what they ended up charging me was far more than other local piano movers, it is the deceitful business practices of Bill that I found so distressful.

It's a really convenient spot, but their gas prices are way higher than all of the other gas stations. They also have a $5 minimum for credit cards which is pretty lame.
