To those who have been following my #HurricaneSandy reports:

Normality is more or less restored. Our power is back on, our house wasn't damaged, and our cat is purring.

The only remaining bummer is the weather outside - no longer a nor'easter, but so grey and dank and dispiriting that it'll probably up the suicide rate for the next week.  Cocooning time for Cathy and me, until that big ball of gas in the sky becomes at least visible again.

The aforementioned cat is now attempting to climb into my lap.  Excellent plan, feline. Some quality time with you and a dose of hot dark cocoa is precisely what's indicated to chase away the miserable remnants of Sandy.

We will see your next post in spring? :-). Enjoy and relax.
Waiting for the final remnants of Sandy to dump over Albany.  And I'm on ambulance duty from 0000-0600
Glad you, your family, and house are all ok.
Good to hear that you three and the house are all fine.
My friends have a 0.25 MW generator.  I go over there or hang out at work when storms knock the power out.
