My first couple weeks since the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online have been fun. There's been lots to explore and the world gets bigger as my character advances. During the beta I tried all three factions and I decided to play with the Aldmeri Dominion as an Altmer (High Elf) Sorcerer.

Tip: You can level your horse for improved speed, stamina, or carrying capacity where carrying capacity = inventory space. I didn't realize this until yesterday as I had closed the Help Tip screen without paying attention, because I thought I knew what I was doing.

yeah, I'm enjoying it as well. I'm trying to finish off Angof, and he's currently winning. I think I need to go kill zombies until I level up again... whee!

currently playing a tank. I may start over and try something else and see if I can actually run a magic user for once.

"The one and only." Final issue of Superior Spider-Man and I’m going to miss Otto.

I hadn't read any Spidey issues for many years, but I joined in at Amazing Spider-Man 698 to see what all the fuss was about. I got hooked and looked forward to every issue. The funny thing is I went further back to read the earlier story arcs and I didn't like them very much. Too much soap opera and whiny Peter Parker.

Every issue of Bendis and Bachalo’s #UncannyXMen feels like a double-sized issue. I think Scott’s right that Hank is behind the Sentinel attacks, but he confronted the wrong Hank.

From the post: Weekends. Getting work done on weekends use to be absolutely critical towards making forward momentum (as they were, typically, the only time in which I got significant side project coding done). That’s not so much the case now – and that’s a good thing. Building up a weeks-worth of expectations about what I should accomplish during the weekend only ended up leaving me disappointed. I was rarely able to complete all the work that I wanted and it forced me to reject other weekend activities that I enjoyed (eating dim sum, visiting museums, going to the park, spending time with my partner, etc.) in favor of getting more work done. I strongly feel that while side projects are really important they should not be to the exclusion of life in general.

Trevor Linden comes home as Vancouver Canucks President of Hockey Operations

Trevor Linden: “Today is a real honour. I came to Vancouver 26 years ago and I have never left. I love this city. It is my home and the Canucks have always been part of my family.”

“I’m passionate about the Canucks and I want to win – just like our fans. I believe in this team and share the organization’s commitment to excellence on and off of the ice.  I am looking forward to getting started – getting to know everyone in the organization, and working together to win the Stanley Cup for this great city and Province.”

Well after several blunders, they finally got one right. Now they need to gut the team and rebuild.

I've been using the Android beta version of Chrome Remote Desktop for the past little while. It's handy, but scrolling around a much larger desktop takes some getting used to as the cursor behaves differently while panning. Also, the big "X" icon in the toolbar actually means fullscreen and not Disconnect as I thought when first using the app. Another useful tool especially when travelling.

"I am more concerned about the impact of putting this perspective on a respected show like The National. It legitimizes pseudoscientific ideas – which may have serious adverse health consequences – and makes it more difficult for the public to differentiate between real and junk science. "

Played Diablo 3 tonight in co-op with +Nicole Soltys (Crusader) and I thought I'd try the Witch Doctor instead of my Sorceress. She gets cool party hats and the gloopy sound effects of her minions are fun to mimic.

Had a yummy lunch surrounded by great service from the moment we entered the door. Much larger and nicer inside than I expected from the outside. Their presto lunch special is good if you're concerned about getting back to the office quickly.

I've been seeing the same hygienist here for almost 10 years and I've always found their office to be welcoming and friendly. I like that both my hygienist and dentist explain what they're doing and why. I also like that even though my appointments are usually six months apart, we can pick up our conversations as if no time had passed.
