He looked quite content there, had a shelter from the rain, a bag of food, plenty of water...Not a bad gig. And what a view.

What'd you do today? Well, it was raining in Verona, so we took a day trip to Venice, hung out at the Doge's Palace, and didn't get shit on by pigeons. All in all, a solid Monday.

It's better than a stick in the eye, I suppose; better than the more middling sorts of Mondays.  Terrific photo. Canaletto would approve.

Pretty sure this was the best meal until the wedding reception. Small restaurant in Trezzolono, no one spoke English, cheap house wine, great antipasto, amazing pasta, rabbit and lamb, and huge sides of veggies. And it all cost less than the bottle of wine the night before...

Our view from the stone steps at the Roman arena in Verona, just before Aida started.

Carolina Auto Trim was the USAA recommended repair shop, so after an encounter with a deer, we took our Subaru there. Absolutely couldn't ask for better service. They kept us informed about the repair process, checked with us about any questions they had, completed the work on time, and the car now looks better than when we bought it. They do high quality work, period. After the repair was complete, we noticed an issue with the new headlights and Carolina Auto Trim quickly replaced the headlights, without question. Absolutely great service. And, after the recent visit to replace the headlights, they even wiped down the exterior of the pollen covered car. Not a big deal, but to me it shows how seriously they take their jobs and how much attention they pay to their customers. Absolutely great experience, hopefully never need their services again, but if so, will go back without hesitation.

Called at 8 this morning about a slow drain. They had a plumber out by 11. Figured out he couldn't clear the clog, so he re-ran the sink drain. Done by 3pm, even after breaking for lunch. Great service. Reasonable price. Polite and professional employees.

I stopped by this morning because the toe of my loafer was cracking. I'm not from here but in town for a wedding. These guys were great. They repaired the crack, in less than two hours, and absolutely refused to let me pay for the repair. I wish I lived here so I could give them more business.

Tried the meat and three for lunch and it was great. Breading was good, portions big enough to take home a full meal. The service is great: they're always willing to do special requests and always go oyt of their way to make you happy.
