I have this on iOS but haven't played it yet. Soon...
Some games you just hear so many good things about that you are forced to try them yourself. Le Havre was a game like that for me. Le Havre is all about money. Whoever has the most money at the end of the game is the winner. Each round consists of seven player turns. Each player (on his turn) ...

BGG"s number 1 game, really really want to play this.
One of the highest rated games of all time is Twilight Struggle. So, of course, I felt the incessant urge to try it. In Twilight Struggle, players re-live the Cold War. One player takes the role of the US, and the other is (of course, if you know history) the USSR. On any given turn, ...

Another game that should be in everyone's collection.

Looking forward to getting a big enough group together to try this out.
A game that I had never heard of until I innocently posted a Tweet looking for new games to try is The Resistance . After reading a review and looking into the game, I decided it would be a great one to buy and play in my office. The Resistance comes with a base game and an expansion in the same ...

Might try this on the iPad first.
One of the games that I was able to find a copy of to play earlier this week was Stone Age . Stone Age is a worker placement game in which the players are each trying to place their workers in the right positions to gain resources, new workers, etc. in order to gain the most victory points.

Looks like fun.
One of the games that I've been eagerly wanting to get my hands on this year is Smash Up. Smash Up is a "shufflebuilding"game. What this means is that you select two factions at the start of the game, and then you build your deck by shuffling them together. During the game, you will be using the ...

Didn't appeal to me at all, until I saw a review on it, not I'm intrigued.
So, you know how Zooloretto is waaaay too complicated? (Just as a point of note, I've never had anyone actually agree with that.) Well, lucky for you, they came out with Zooloretto Mini! (And, just to be clear, this is a review of Zooloretto Mini, not a mini review of Zooloretto.) ...

Looks just epic.
A game that I made a point to play because of all of the great things I had heard was Through the Ages . In Through the Ages, each player represents a civilization that is attempting to gain the most culture (victory) points. Since you each represent a civilization, you each have a government; ...

At the very top of my wish list.
An insanely popular game right now is Terra Mystica. So, when I was offered an opportunity to try it out, I gladly accepted. In Terra Mystica, each player represents a fantasy race that is attempting to expand. Unfortunately, only one habitat is viable for them to build upon, and so they must ...

I really want to try this real-time cooperative game, looks awesome.
So, about a month ago, I got an email from one of my wonderful readers. The email was pretty simple - just asking for me to review Space Alert. Well, I had coincidentally just acquired a copy of the game the weekend before, and so I did my best to get the review turned around in a timely manner.

One of the first "modern" board games I played... albeit on the iPad.
As the first review from my Days of Wonder collection, I will do a review of Small World . In Smallworld, the world is too small to fit all of the different races (you use a different map depending on the number of players to make sure that this mechanic holds true). On any given turn, ...
