"Free Fall" 1x21. This episode was the season finale for season one and I always find it unsettling and unnerving if I have to fly on a plane. It's interesting to note but the ghost captain that appears to Melinda warning her about the plane crash has "mothmen" behind him. The villain in the first season was awesome too!

I put this series in this past week because recently I felt like JLH's character felt in this episode. "The air has this heaviness to it." Then, the plan crashed. A few weeks ago, I felt just THAT then the incident with Manchester occurred. I felt that way a couple weeks before at the Grand red line station even feeling like the train was going to hit me, then couple days after, someone was struck by that same train. This week I feel a little better. I look at JLH's character in the series. She uses this to help people. I'm trying to learn how to do that for myself. Just sayin.

Happy 2017 everyone! I hope you all have a great year and have set some goals. I made "the destination is there" as my 2017 theme. I thought of it from, not only a Carman song released in 1985, but from a friend that asserted me once, "happy now, or happy later?" I am choosing the former as I have put off the latter each year after he asked me that.

2017. I post this quote each year and watch the movie; I'm a fan of the original Jerry Lewis Nutty Professor not the remake with Eddie Murphy. 2016 was a tough year. A lot of challenges were faced by all of us. We lost a lot this year, but I discovered a lot too. Chicago has taught me a lot about people and myself. Good and bad. I've learned and rediscovered this year the real meaning of friendship and love. This is what I relearned this year. I've never gone with the crowd to try and fit in. I relearned this part of my life this year. So...

Take this into 2017. Strive to be yourself! Love is out there. Don't go with the crowd. The right people will find you and love you for you...

".. And I think that the lesson that I learned came just in time. I don't want to be something that I'm not. I didn't like being someone else. At the same time I'm very glad I was cause I found out something that I never knew. You might as well like yourself. Just think about all the time you're going to have to spend with you. And if you don't think too much of yourself, how do you expect others to?" The Nutty Professor 1963.

When friends are more your family. Never put down an orphan holiday with your friends. They mean a whole lot more to those that want you in their lives.

Cool Runnings -- Peace be the journey. I recently bade farewell to a great group of guys on my shift!  They truly were my family away from home for the 2 years I was with IPsoft.  Parting with them will be difficult.  As I transition into a new position soo...
