Earache is a fairly common ailment that most of us have been unfortunate enough to experience at some point in our lives.

Whether mild or severe, this pain can be extremely painful.

While being outdoors appears to cause the pain in your ear to fluctuate, trying to settle down in the evening also intensifies the ache, denying you much needed sleep.

Our latest Blog post delves into the relationship between earache and sleep. It also explores numerous ways in which earache can be alleviated through elevating your head using a few extra soft pillows, using a heat pack or a warm flannel, using garlic or olive oil and even a hairdryer!

Where to this week?

Finishing our Island theme for now - we could go on and on - this week we have an Ergoflex Double mattress on its way to Hindmarsh Island, SA.
Hindmarsh Island is an island in the lower Murray River near the town of Goolwa, South Australia, 95kms south of Adelaide.

By all accounts Hindmarsh Island is a popular tourist destination and great please to relax. Sounds perfect.

Distance from Ergo HQ: 1,550kms, 16hrs.

What you eat can have a huge impact on your sleep.

Avoid fatty and spicy foods before bed. Devour fruits, diary and carbs. Yes carbs are good for something: helping you sleep! Carbohydrate-rich foods complement dairy foods by increasing the level of sleep-inducing tryptophan in the blood. So a few perfect late night snacks to get you snoozing might include a bowl of cereal and milk, yogurt and crackers, or bread and cheese.

A good cat-nap can help rejuvenate your body. But be careful, it's important to nap sensibly for no more than 20minutes at a time to avoid disrupting your sleep schedule.

Where to this week?

Carrying on our island theme, this week we have an Ergoflex King size mattress on its way to Dangar island, in the Hawkesbury River, just north of Sydney.

It's a idyllic place to live and a popular destination for our mattresses. The island is serviced regularly by ferry and and takes about ten minutes from Brooklyn.

Distance from Ergo HQ: 130kms, 2hrs.
