Share in the journey of Disney’s Lion King Jr., coming to EPAC!

Based on the Academy Award-winning film, Disney’s Lion King Jr. is the story of a young lion prince learning what it means to become king without letting life get

him down. The show is adapted for the stage with a slightly shorter run time that makes it perfect for young audiences. By the time the show is over, the whole

family will be in the “Hakuna Matata” mood. And that means no worries for the rest of your days – or for a night at least!

Disney’s Lion King Jr. will run from February 3, 2017, through February 19, 2017, at the Sharadin Bigler Theatre. Tickets can be purchased at
ephrataperformingartscenter.com or by calling 717-733- 7966 x1.

Based upon Charles Dickens' classic novel Oliver Twist, this musical production debuted at London's Noël Coward Theatre in 1960, moving to Broadway in 1964. Oliver! has since experienced many revivals on both sides of the Atlantic, most recently in 2009 on the West End, in addition to a number of international productions. It was also turned into an Academy Award-willing film in 1968. Now it comes to EPAC!

EPAC is so excited to bring this family classic to life. The collection of Dicken’s rich and wonderful characters and the well-known and tuneful music and lyrics combined on EPAC’s intimate thrust stage is sure to sure to create a moving and wonderful holiday treat for the entire family. Audiences will root for Oliver as he grows up in a rough workhouse, facing adversity and kept company by a host of unscrupulous characters.

Michael Swanson will direct the EPAC production of Glengarry Glen Ross. According to Swanson, "Glengarry Glen Ross might have been called Lives of the Salesman, as Mamet’s keenly observed and comically vulgar real estate confidence men sell belief more than land, until an office robbery disrupts their dreams of success in this Pulitzer Prize-winning critique of the American workplace.”

Follow the paths of three young Americans–Johnny, Will, and Tunny–as they seek to make their mark in a post-9/11 world.

Written by Green Day vocalist Billie Jo Armstrong, who performed in portions of the show’s original run, and Spring Awakening director Michael Mayer, the American Idiot score includes all songs from Green Day’s 2004 Grammy-winning album of the same name, which explored the harsh realities of a post-9/11 American existence.

The show is directed by Richard Repkoe, who will bring young Johnny, Will, and Tunny to life in this moving production called “gorgeously wrought” by The New York Times.
