Poor company , did my loan in two parts before installation (solar panels) and after work was done. Well in fine print and not explained was oh you will be occurring interest the whole time construction is going on. Got my refund on panels, but have $5000 in interest ,so i can't pay off loan because of interest. ( 12 month loan) Can you say rip off. Oh and I have called customer service, their answer is well you will still be able to pay off sooner. No I planned on paying off with refund. Can you say title loan company calling itself a bank.

Hi Ronald, my name is Andy Gibson, and I am the Customer Relations Manager with EnerBank. During the initial application call, the terms are explained verbally, and then are provided in writing prior to the loan proceeds being disbursed to the home improvement contractor. The terms indicate that interest begins accruing on the first day of the loan, and that the Bank will waive all of the accrued interest, if the loan is paid in full on or before the Same-as-Cash date. If the full principal balance is not paid in full prior to the Same-as-Cash date, then the interest is not waived and the loan coverts into a traditional installment loan with principal and interest payments required. If you have any questions about your loan(s), please contact our Customer Service department at 888-390-1220. Representatives are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

Oddest company I've ever done business with. We financed the purchase of a furnace, air conditioner and water heater (what an awesome year it was financially!) and did it through the furnace company. Rate was fine, but had no idea how archaic the company is. ONLY means of getting your account balance is to call for your balance or you can make a request to have your transactions mailed or faxed to you - no e-mail or online access to your account. Representatives are always kind and courteous (and apologetic). They also promise that online access is coming, but after 1 1/2 years - still nothing. In this modern day, how much can you trust an entity where your transactions with them is not immediately transparent? If you can avoid doing business with them, it would be recommended. We took out a HELOC loan just to be rid of them.

What a god awful bank! I bought windows from Anderson and it's been nothing but problems. They increased my monthly payment by $5, even though my loan doc and my initial coupon book was lower. When I called and asked why, the rep said it's always been the $5 higher price...she said she would investigate and call me back. No call back. Then they appear to be missing payments on my account. Luckly I have the check images, showing they have been cashed and will have to write to them for both issues. I would caution any prospective customer to find another company to finance with.

In order to apply any missing payments to your account, we will need copies of the front and back of your cleared checks in order to confirm the payments were cashed by the Bank. Additionally, there is a $5.00 charge to make a payment over the telephone, which would be added to your payment amount. Hi Andy, I have been communicating with your Contractor Disputes Dept and have repeatedly requested confirmation of payment previously sent to the Contractor, as well as my account to be placed back on hold until a meaningful remedy can be determined. Once after these requests have been addressed, I will revisit these comments. But until I get a pro-active approach from EnerBank as reassured when I had first taken out our loan, this review will stand.

Got a loan through my contractor for an air exchanger and new A/C Unit with EnerBank USA. The process was quick and easy. I set up an automatic withdrawal from my checking for the monthly payment. Everything went very well. They don't have online access for the customers, but, the excellent loan terms more than made up for this. I always had courteous and prompt customer service if I ever had a question. Sounds like they are working towards an on line system for the future. My experience with them was great and would recommend them. I certainly would look to them for future financing if the need arises. Thanks EnerBank USA.

The rate I got with Enerbank was the best I found for a home equity loan. That's why they didn't get a one star. However, Enerbank does not have an online portal or a way to pay electronically. The only payments that you can pay without a fee are payments through the mail. Phone payments are charged a $5 fee. Meanwhile, loan payments can take more than a week to post on your account. It usually takes Enerbank seven days to cash my payment check. To say this company's system is outdated is an understatement. Payment coupons? Shame on you, Enerbank.

This bank is still operating as if it were the 20th century. The make payments difficult to make by using a coupon book with address labels. If you pay by phone they charge you $5.00. They aren't set up for online payments from their website. I didn't know any banks still operated this way.
