I have travelled all through the world and member of many hotel group like SPG , Accor , Trident, Taj, My experience with Empire Landmark Hotel is the worst ever , Most rude staff at the reception, they do not know how to talk to the guest, how to behave with the guest.

First of all I apologise for the spelling mistakes! I hope, my assessment is helpful. 1 week of stay, 2 Person and two beds PRO: - town nearness - in the high floor you have a nice view - There is a coffeemaker and a fridge - Beds are OK - infrared lamp in the bath are not really necessary, but ok CON: - old room equipment: Cupboards are defective, they stink and are squeaky and are unwieldy; all lamps have a rotary switch which is also unwieldy and not contemporary - Sauna and fitness space where described in the service , but: fitness space had a defective TV and fitness devices were also defective and the provided drinking water was defenetly old and has never been changed - Bad WLAN, constantly one must log in again - From 150 offered TV canals only 1/3 mostly function. That is a pity if one want a little TV in the night time - Bathroom: the old cupboards stinks, are squeaky and defective Result: Finally the hotel is suited only for short visits. I think there are much nicer hotels which are less expensive. The one thing what is great about this hotel, is the view at the restaurant.

This hotel refused to check my son and his friend in, refused to accept their Visa/Debit card as a security deposit. Although that same Visa/Debit was acceptable as the method of payment for the room's final bill, go figure? After speaking with the staff and manager on the phone myself, offering to secure their stay with my credit card, it was asked that I take a picture of my credit card with my phone and email it to the hotel. Not being a secure method, I said I would be happy to provide the number over the phone, which was not acceptable to them. So, this hotel turned away two 18 year old's, in Vancouver from out of town, without other options because of the hotel's unreasonable policy. I found the staff and manager very unreasonable, very inconsiderate, with no sense of concern. No one from from our family has ever stayed there, and nor will we ever now. Fortunately I was able to phone and secure accommodation for them from another nearby hotel, that was more than happy to cooperate given the situation. They will receive our repeat business. *During my sons brief 5 min visit at the Empire Landmark's front desk, there were 3 other bookings that were turned away and refused service because of the Visa/Debt being unacceptable for a security deposit. That will keep their business slow.

I would have rated you with 5 stars, but it's the room we had that wasn't at par with other hotels. It's bit dated, and TV controls (Shaw) was/were terrible. Service we received was outstanding, by catering staff and administration (Sharon?). Cloud 9 also was great, food was excellent. Percy

It was a last minute trip on a budget and I found the Empire Landmark as a very reasonable possibility through the Air Canada website (I wanted my Aeroplan points). After I paid my reservation I happened upon the reviews on google. There were so many negative reviews and I was quite concerned about what I had just committed to. Upon my arrival to the Empire Landmark, I found the hotel to be nicely renovated, simple and clean and my room was nicely finished/decorated and very comfortable with a fantastic view over Stanley Park (spanning English Bay over to the north shore and West Vancouver). As well, I found the quality of service to be very high and amicable. I truly look forward to returning to the Empire Landmark in my future trips to Vancouver.

It was excellently priced for what we got, fantastic location. Breakfast seemed a bit pricey but I guess of you're into the view and rotating restaurant deal it works. I would stay there again.

The location is great. You can get to the hotel just by taking sky train and bus # 5. The hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. I find the bed is comfortable. TV is brand new and has good channels. A tip for the winter is leaving the heat at low or medium level before you leave the room. When in the evening, you can turn off the heat so it will not be too warm and you can have a good night sleep. I have only good things to say about the hotel. The view from my room (with two twin bed) is awesome!

Reserved a 2 bed twin and a 2 bed double room on separate occasions and the beds were very very bad. The view was nice. Otherwise I would not stay here. Find somewhere else to stay.
