When I first began working as an overland leader for one of the largest tours operators in Africa, there was no end to the number of people asking how it was possible but the thing is, even I didn’t know this at the time and the same goes for pretty much everything I have done more »

Her work has been published in many online publications, such as Rosetta Stone’s #Milestones blog and Attractiontix blog, and she has won numerous travel writing competitions including Barcelona Points and The Works’ On the Road Reading Moments. So far, Emily has travelled to 17 countries and favours slow, long-term travel over collecting passport stamps.

Genuinely lovely, very friendly hostel with a great atmosphere. This isn't a party hostel so it's a great place to unwind - perfect to escape the party scene at city centre hostels! The location is great, it's only about 20 mins by metro into the centre, but it's a really quiet and peaceful residential neighbourhood which is lovely. Great parks nearby and the Laberint d'Horta! Amazing staff, really relaxed vibe, and just such a friendly place. Facilities were great - comfy beds, clean dorms, the kitchen was CLEAN and had everything I needed, lovely garden, and an amazing roof terrace. Fantastic views day and night. Also - the free wifi worked well, no hidden extra costs for towels/linen/lockers, and the breakfast was pretty decent. All in all an amazing and lovely hostel! I've actually written a full review on my travel blog - you can find the link in my profile!
