Here's a cool new site — Kanstarter.com is a crowdsourcing website for Kansas community projects. #crowdfunding
It’s Kansas towns’ very own version of Kickstarter, but with a few special twists.

I talked with +Dominic Flask about what's drawing him from Wichita to Silicon Valley and what he thinks Wichita companies can do to recruit and retain creative talent.

Jacqualyn Summervill of +BalancedComp wanted to get involved in Wichita's startup community, but it took her awhile, because she was afraid of being “the kid in AP class everyone knows doesn’t belong” or the “new kid with nowhere to sit for lunch.” This event is meant to draw in others with that same mindset.
Wichita already has a Final Friday arts night. Now comes Startup Third Thursday.

Happy birthday, TechFlash!

We're celebrating the one-year anniversary of #TechFlash, our technology blog and newsletter.

There’s a common theme among many of the stories that seem to resonate with TechFlash readers. They’re about small businesses and #entrepreneurs — people who have overcome the odds to succeed. Check out some of the most popular stories here.

Another Startup Weekend-born project is moving forward.
Vamonos means “Let’s go” in Spanish and it’s also the name of a Wichita-developed iPhone app that is nearly ready to go.

I'm learning to #code. Here's why.
Should everyone learn to code? Maybe not, but I've found several reasons to pursue it, and Wichita's new code school is giving me that chance.
