UX: Chatelaines: Utility for the Pocketless
As a child, I viewed Batman's utility belt with envy: what could be more wonderful than to always have the correct tool ready-to-hand, rather than fumbling for it in a bag or wandering from room to room wondering where I left it.

Follow the link to a well-researched article and many more photos.

Frankly I am ambivalent about this because you know what....its not how die, it is how you live.
There has been a wide range of reactions to Lee Kuan Yew’s turn for the worse. Some are criticising the media for staking out SGH (it’s their job lah). Some Singaporeans are still cursing LKY, even now. Some have rushed to SGH; to kaypoh or pay respects, I am not quite sure. Some – privately or publicly – are expressing hope that he will leave the land of the living with more haste. Some are grudgingly or gratefully acknowledging the things he’s ...

Offshore Malaysia, Rough Waters for Chinese Developers - WSJ

Chinese developers expanding abroad have a penchant for making a splash – though not always in the way they hoped. For two of them at least some of the splashing was literal, as they built man-made islands in the waters between Malaysia and Singapore.

But complaints from fishermen, environmentalists and Malaysia’s southern neighbor Singapore have left them treading water.

Guangdong-based developers Country Garden Holdings Co. and Guangzhou R&F Properties Co. said they voluntarily halted construction at the southern tip of Peninsular Malaysia due to environmental concerns and boundary issues.

These housing and commercial projects included land reclamation in the Straits of Johor, the narrow water body that separates Malaysia from Singapore.
Two Chinese developers aimed to make a splash abroad by building man-made islands in the waters between Malaysia and Singapore, but complaints from fishermen, environmentalists and Malaysia’s southern neighbor Singapore have left them treading water.
