#DeutscheWelle came to film #Safecity for their episode of #FoundersValley - Breaking the Silence, Ending Violence using technology.

I flew in from Chicago to Udaipur and went straight into the film shoot. Glad it all worked out as the timelines were very tight but when it is meant to be, it all works out. I was informed that my team in Delhi (Vanshika Siya Deswal and team) we’re beyond expectations and the crew cried hearing their stories. It is always hard to be open and vulnerable but we cannot expect others to break their silence if we are not willing.

Thank you #BMWFoundation and #GlobalDiplomacyLab for making this work out.

Carmen Meyer thank you for your thoughtful film. It was great to also meet #DoSchool Cofounder Katherin Kirschenmann, the host of the show.

Last year I did many interesting things including writing a chapter for the book Development as Dignity, lending my voice to an audio book of Ibou Niang and featuring in Soraya Chemaly's Rage Becomes Her.

Another interesting thing was being featured in an e-learning course Making Change Happen by Oxfam and the Open University UK.

It is a free course so please go ahead and register at: https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/make-change-happen

At the Paris Peace Forum a couple of months, I spoke to the Association of World Citizens on behalf of the #GlobalDiplomacyLab of which I am a member. Here are some of my thoughts. The first one is at 21 mins and then mid way and then 1:23:00 or so. Do check it out.

Hope everyone had a great start to the New Year. If you are feeling generous and love our work at #Safecity, may we request you to make a small donation? We have an open project on Global Giving for our donors outside of India.
