Spring is here and summer is near. That means amazing weather, barbecues and a new opportunity to grow some flowers or vegetables. You do not need a huge garden to achieve this. In fact window gardening is becoming very popular for apartment renters. Here are some tips and tricks to get you off on the right foot with window gardening this spring. 

- Select plants that will grow well in your environment. Take into account average temperature and how much sunlight your window gets. Some ideas to get you started include basil, peppers and green onions.
- Add high quality potting mix to your pots.
- Sow your seeds about ½ an inch apart.
- Water your plants based on their needs. Some plants need more water than others.
