Amazing.  13 year old Amy Mather explains how she wrote a version of Conway's game of life in Python and then used a Raspberry Pi and an Arduino to output it to an array of LEDs.  

She attends a girl's school which doesn't offer any sort of computing curriculum and so learned all of this outside of class with help from others.
