Let Prospects Know About a Price Drop

If you decide to reduce the asking price of a domain name, it's a good idea to let companies who have inquired about the domain name know about the price reduction. +Sedo.com does a great job of sending an automated email to prospects who previously made an offer for a domain name when the buy it now price drops, and I think domain investors should do this on their own to rekindle a discussion.

Clever Sales Tactic from DNS

I think this DomainNameSales / Uniregistry email to entice dismissed / dead leads to purchase the corresponding .Link domain name is pretty clever. Not only could it generate some revenue for the domain owner, but it could lead them back to the .com domain name at some point down the road.

Why Amazon Doesn't Own Amazon.se

Did you know that Amazon doesn't own the Amazon.se ccTLD domain name? According to an article I read this morning, the domain name is owned by another company http://goodereader.com/blog/e-book-news/small-business-owner-blocks-amazons-purchase-of-domain-name

.CO Brands Should Buy .co.com Domain Names

In my opinion, operators of websites and brands that utilize .CO domain names should consider buying the matching .co.com domain names once they become available to purchase. Even if traffic "leakage" is minimal, it's better to register a .co.com domain name for around $30 than to have to acquire that same traffic via other channels.

Here's more on this:

Only 82 Heartbleed Domain Names Registered

If I was going to place a bet, I would have thought more domain names with the heartbleed keyword would have been registered in the last week. According to the +Verisign DomainView Grapher Tool, just 82 .com and .net domain names with the word "heartbleed" were registered through 4/13. That is surprising to me considering how much press the heartbleed bug received.
According to the Verisign DomainView Grapher Tool, there have been just 82 Heartbleed domain names registered in .com and .net.
