I write about stress management for, and have since 2005.  (I also wrote about relationships for them and a few other sites in 2000 and 2001.)   

I come from a family therapy and positive psychology background, with an M.S. in counseling and some doctoral education in health psychology, coaching, and positive psychology as well.

I also do wellness coaching and workshops on stress management and healthy living. I focus on research-backed strategies for generating physical and emotional well-being. I am writing a book on stress management, published by Norton, which covers simple and effective ways to manage stress in your life. It's due out later this year.

I've become a huge fan of walking for stress relief, and pedometers make it more fun!  If you're looking for an inexpensive way to maximize your daily step count, here's a helpful article from my friend and colleague Wendy, who knows a TON about walking.
If you carry your phone with you all day, you probably don't need a stand-alone pedometer. Get an app instead.
Pedometer apps use your mobile's built-in accelerometer to track your daily steps, workouts, and activity data. Here are the top-rated ones for iOS and Android.

She's been interviewed on national television and radio, and in national publications such as CNN, Good Housekeeping, Glamour, Essence, Inc. and Woman's Day. On a personal level, being a devoted wife and mother of two has also taught her a great deal about stress management and personal balance.
