Everything is better with butter. Especially anchovies.

Still playing around with 'nduja. This time the spicy porky stuff gets spread on toasted bread and topped with wilted beet greens.

Did you know I make videos? Here's my latest, during a visit to Umbria where Paola made Wild Boar Ragu. Warning: you may want to run straight out up to Umbria and order this dish.

Sometimes I go out to restaurants. Sometimes I stay home and cook. And other times? There's always take out pizza. In Rome. (video too)

Writing about the good stuff in Italy. Author of apps Eat Rome, Eat Florence and Eat Venice
Introduction
I've been eating my way through Rome since I was 12. After living here as a child, I moved back permanently, from the States, in 1988, and now consider myself pretty much a Roman.

I started out life as an art historian, but now cover all things beautiful and delicious for magazines like Architectural Digest, Food & Wine and Town & Country. I appear on TV shows such as Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie (you can view some clips here), and am the author of six books. My most recent is Italian Rustic: How to Bring Tuscan Charm into Your Home.

I am the author selling apps, Eat Rome and Eat Florence, and Eat Venice.

When I'm not working, I'm cooking. And when I'm not cooking, I'm eating. And if I'm not doing any of the above, that means I'm writing about it all on my blog Elizabeth Minchilli in Rome
