Hey! Tomorrow, I'll be in DC with a diverse cast of characters including Neal Stephenson, Kathryn Cramer, Ted Chiang, Kathleen Ann Goonan, Madeline Ashby, Vandana Singh, and Karl Schroeder to talk about how we build futures, and what it takes to inspire people to solve the big problems. The event's sold out, but there is a live webstream!

8:30 pm on Saturday, March 7th.

The Pixel Project proudly presents our live "Read For Pixels" Google Hangout with Elizabeth Bear, the award-winning author of the ETERNAL SKY sequence.

Ms. Bear will be reading from one of her books, and talking about her support for stopping violence against women and girls, as well as answering questions from fans.

She has also donated some very cool (and exclusive) goodies to the Read For Pixels 2015 (International Women's Day Edition) fundraiser.

More details on how to donate to the campaign to get your hands on these goodies are coming on March 1st 2015.

The inaugural “Read For Pixels” 2015 (International Women's Day Edition) Google Hangout series features live Google Hangout Readings with award-winning bestselling female authors in support of the Celebrity Male Role Model Pixel Reveal campaign (http://reveal.thepixelproject.net), which aims to raise US$1 million in aid of The Pixel Project (http://www.thepixelproject.net) and the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (http://www.ncadv.org).
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Regina Yau. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

New story! New titles! Wheee!

My Moscow Metro dog organlegging story, “This Chance Planet,” is live at Tor.com! (I would have mentioned it yesterday, but I was on airplanes.) And now that I've dropped a giant graphic in your internets and presumably have your attention (art by Robert Hunt), it's time to reveal some titles!

I spent the last week involved in travel, appearances, and conferences for the Hieroglyph Project and Future Tense , both of which are ongoing--though my spate of publicity is over for now. In any case, it was an incredibly stimulating experience, and I am actually full of notes for the space…
