This would be a great little Mac to edit photos in Lightroom with. I often need a Mac when I'm on the go shooting events and this would be absolutely perfect.

Ace Frehley set The Carolina Theatre on fire with his smokin' guitar! Check out my pics and review!
Ace Frehley hit Durham's Carolina Theatre, and both members of the KISS Army and Ace's loyal fans turned out in huge numbers to catch The Space Indvader tour. Raleigh locals, The Hell No, were tapped to support Ace on this tour stop. With this lineup, one thing was sure, the crowd was in store for a night of pure, unadulterated rock.

Method Man and Redman hit Raleigh's Lincoln Theatre on their Smoker's Club tour! I caught the show, so check out my coverage to see what went down!
The Smoker's Club Tour rolled into Raleigh for a night of debauchery at The Lincoln Theatre. A capacity crowd started lining up close to an hour before doors for the chance to spend an evening with three icons of Hip-Hop: B-Real, Redman, and Method Man. Everyone was excited for the chance to take a walk through the history of some of the most prolific rappers of the 1990s and get acquainted with some new talent.

+Edwin McCain put on a tremendous show at Cone Denim Entertainment center! Check out my review to find out why. :)
Shortly after opening its doors, Greensboro's Cone Denim Entertainment Center nabbed Edwin McCain and The Tyler Millard Band for a night of guitar driven blues and rock. It has been a while since Edwin McCain visited this part of North Carolina, but his loyal fans came out, some bringing their kids, to see Edwin play some of his biggest hits.

I loved this place under the old management. The new management hiked the prices, changed the broth recipe (watered it down), and is rude. The gentleman who works the gap between the lunch and dinner shift passed me by a total of four times while I stood at the counter waiting to place a takeout order and did not even say hello. Regardless of whether or not he was delivering orders to the two occupied tables in the restaurant, greeting customers is Food Service 101. I ordered the same meal at this restaurant three different times in the last two weeks and the total was different each time, which was my experiment that proved that they're robbing customers. So I have absolutely no plans to return. The new management is joking and the place is empty save for one or two tables every time I've gone since they took over.

There is a reason this place is empty every time I walk in there despite having free Wi-Fi, and it's because their food sucks. With the exception of the Tabouli and the Stuffed Grape Leaves, EVERYTHING I had was awful. The hummus lacked flavor and was uninspired. You can do better at the grocery store. The lamb in the kebabs (curiously not served on skewers) was ground, not cubed, so who knows what kind of filler they mixed it with. I've got news for you: two olives and a teaspoon of feta atop a mountain of lettuce does not a Greek salad make. The Tzatziki sauce (referred to as "cucumber sauce", which insults the diner's intelligence) was virtually flavorless. And the pièce de résistance: NO Baba Ghannouj on the menu! The only upside is that it's cheap, so you will not spend all that much to be thoroughly and completely disappointed. Oh yeah, spring for a couple of light bulbs. Way dark in there.

I've been to the lunch buffet on the weekend twice, and the food is OK, but that's all it is. The Chicken Tikka Masala lacks the spice and texture I'm used to. For the price it's great, and they did serve free mimosas the last time I visited, so definitely check it out. The buffet is just simply not authentic.

I was only there with a friend for lunch for a very short time, but I enjoyed it. It's more like a real coffeehouse, and less commercial. The food is also heavily skewed to the vegetarian and vegan end of the scale. The people are friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, there is wi-fi, and curiously enough they use an iPad to check you out. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have any loose leaf tea, but they're not known for their teas. I ordered a ginger tea, a hummus and tabouli wrap (served with nachos and fresh pico), and a slice of banana bread. The tea was OK, the hummus and tabouli wrap was good (but not very good), but the banana bread was EXCELLENT. So I encourage everyone to go. If you're not a big fan of vegetarian and vegan cuisine, you probably won't find much to entertain you on the menu. However, the banana bread is definitely worth your time.

After calling and specifying my hair type (3c curly/coily - tight spiral curls) when making an appointment, I was denied service by a racist stylist who described my hair as "kinky" and told me she doesn't "do ethnic hair." Got my hair done at their other location on Durant Road, and was treated as a person, not a color or a hair type.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Sushi Nine. The atmosphere is fun, but it is relatively loud, and dominated by a younger (college) crowd. The decor is very modern and clean. The service was not only efficient, but very helpful with menu selections. The prices are also very reasonable. I ordered the calamari appetizer, the Sea Monster roll, and the Volcano roll. The calamari was absolutely fantastic, but the sushi left a lot to be desired. If you are serious about sushi, and if you've been to authentic sushi restaurants, the selection here will not impress you. This is really more like sushi for beginners. I am still giving it high marks for the overall experience and value.

This is, by far, the worst Indian cuisine I've had since moving to the Triangle. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and the Chicken Masala to take home. Both dishes were so spicy and salty that any other flavors were completely masked. I had to use a lot of tamarind chutney (that I happen to keep on hand at home) to make either dish edible. The Naan was OK, and the Samosas were actually good. Two entrees, one appetizer, and two orders of Naan came to $39, which added insult to injury. I'm glad I didn't bother to dine in, because the decor is horrible and the incense in the dining room was overwhelming. If it took over 40 minutes for my order to be ready after placing it, so I can only imagine how long it would take the staff to serve a full meal in house.
