Because Patreon is being a bunch of meanie poo-poo heads to low-level patrons (which is all of mine), everything has been moved to

http://storytellereleri.tezhme.net

Where it can be read, for free, and my Patreon will close before Christmas.

Annual Fall Reposting of Eleri's Pumpkin Chili Recipie

1 can pumpkin (make sure it's not pumpkin pie mix)
1 lb pork sausage
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
1 med yellow onion, diced
2 med tomatoes
2-4 cloves garlic chopped
1 can kidney beans, drained (or two cups cooked)
2 cups milk

salt, pepper, chili powder (or chili seasoning mix), powdered sage

In a frying pan, crumble and brown sausage. If it isn't pre-seasoned, mix in some pepper and sage as it cooks. Add garlic and onion, and cook until tender. Drain.

Roast the peppers**, and chop them into 1/2 inch-inch pieces

Chop the tomatoes and rinse.

In a soup pot, heat pumpkin and milk. Add peppers, tomato, bean and meat mix, and simmer. Add spices to taste.

Goes REALLY GOOD with cornmeal biscuits.

I never make this the same way twice, but this is pretty close to the basics. I've done it with no meat, or with other meat (maple bacon was yummy), no beans, added other spicy veggies- you can play with it however :)

To use fresh pumpkin, any pumpkin that would be good for making pie would work, then you'd just follow the instructions for making pureed pumpkin- the first 8 steps from here is a good outline: http://www.pickyourown.org/pumpkinpie.php

This. Every other country has figured this out- even Australia, which gets called out for it's gun 'ban' all the time; they didn't ban all guns, they made clear categories of firearms, and clear laws for when, who and how those guns firearms could be used.
I'm a gun owner. I support hunters. I'm a veteran. I'm also in favor of strong regulations for gun ownership.

I can think of no reason for anyone outside the military to carry a firearm that holds more than 6 rounds, maybe 12 for police. No hunter needs 30 rounds rapid. No one's home will be better protected by a spray of fully-automatic fire.

If you worry about a tyrannical government, and you want to argue that the 2nd Amendment exists to protect the people from the government, I have news for you. You won't defeat the US Army in armed insurrection with your AR-15, or your restored BAR. They have tanks, helicopters, and drones.

If you want to stop a tyrannical government, you murder it in its crib - at the ballot box, with your votes. You vote to prevent megalomaniacs from getting into office. You vote for sensible reforms to limit authoritarian power (and yes, this means limiting police and holding them accountable when they kill people that look different from you). You vote for the expansion of our democratic values (which means things like mandatory time off to vote, universal automatic voter registration, and restoring rights to ex-convicts). These are the ways we make our society safer and more representative.

I've been playing #ingress since beta. I was very active the Seattle area, and went to anomalies before anomalies were even a thing. Recharging was vital even back then- and everyone on the ground new it, and it mattered.

When the time came for #13MAGNUS in Seattle, WA, my spouse and I drove over 300 miles RT to take down blocking links and fields. The only recognition we got was from thankful teammates- there were no badges in those days.

I have the Helios badge, it was the last anomaly I participated in before life sent me in a different direction than Ingressing. But I watch the hard work every one of the PNW players do- people like +ollie tronic and +Daniella, and know that Anomalies wouldn't happen without people doing huge amounts of behind the scenes legwork; and the boots on the ground teams, of either faction, wouldn't succeed without their recharge teams backing them up.

Everyone who participates in an Anomaly deserves to be recognized. If +Niantic can depend on these volunteer, doing-it-for-the-love teams to make their events actually happen and be enjoyable (because they sure in the heck wouldn't be, without locals doing all the leg work), then they can rely on those teams to give them an accurate list of the people who worked their butts off, on and off the playfield.

Wow. Obvious Troll Is Obvious. Following racism kerfluffle in another group, it was noted that there was a different marginalized, often closeted group of people that didn't have a professional peer community on FB, so said group was created, less than 24 hours ago.

To paraphrase:

Troll: Drop a line about how so many members have Racist Hairstyle.

Group: That's interesting, it doesn't seem like many of us do, could you explain please? Note that to determine everyone's hairstyle, would need to have gone through everyone's profile.

Troll: You're useless, go away, shut up.

Group: I'm sorry you feel that way, was just trying to gain clarity.

Troll: I SAID SHUT UP YOU STUPID SO AND SO

Group: Geeze, ok lady, calm your tits! WTF

Troll: OMG you're harassing and misgendering me, HELP ME Admin!

Note that troll's profile pic is female, uses female pronouns on their own page, and this is their first post to group, so group has no indication that female pronouns may be incorrect.

Also Group: That is a touchy subject, yes. We need to have respectful discussions about such things, so marginalized cultures feel heard. There are many facets to this discussion, here's some viewpoints from other marginalized people-
Troll: NO ONLY MY VIEW, YOU'RE ALL RACIST

It would be a huge help to me if everyone who could, would pledge $1 to my Patreon for the Sept. billing cycle (comes out on Sept 1). I WILL NOT be offended in any way if you drop your pledge after September, but I've got a trade show booth to manage. o.O

There's a recording on the way for my patrons, too, muahaha!

Thanks bunches, everybuggy.
