We go every year so we know the ropes. For one thing always stay in the Skyline tower the Sierra Tower is old so the rooms are less desirable. Go for the luxury rooms they are only in the Skyline tower, they are roomy and modern the beds are so comfy. We always ask for high floor with a great view. The luxury rooms are 14th floor and up. We have stayed in a players suite corner room..amazing room. The buffet is so so I like the pastries and that is about it. But we are not buffet folks. We find that Geckos and Brews Bros puts out good chow. The staff is accommodating. We obviously like this hotel and casino or we would not make the trip every year from Oregon.

This was my second stay at Eldorado Reno and loved it. Appreciate their coupons for bowlers, love having access to walkway to other casinos. Close to bowling centers. Rooms are clean. Breakfast buffett is awesome. Definitely would stay again.

Probably the nicest hotel and casino in downtown Reno (but far from the best in all of Reno). The over-the-street skyways that connect it to Silver Legacy are very convenient, especially during the winter months.

As a previous local (as a 15 to 22 yr. old), I at 50 moved back to Reno. I had worked at several resorts in my youth. The Eldorado back then was much smaller, fun but not the "Hotspot" downtown. Now, bigger and part of the "Eldorado/Silver Legacy/Circus Circus" group, The Eldorado "specials and special offers" come at a price (they are now doing a 40 year "BASH"). At the Eldorado, be aware that the advertised special's are not really all true. With there 40 Years Promotion, they advertise that the Buffet is at the price it was, 40 years ago. This is true, but only for dinner. Breakfast and lunch are still full price. BTW, they never had a buffet when the 1st opened. that came after. After their expansion, 10's of years later. Buyer, Player.. Beware!

HORRIBLE!! THEY STEAL YOUR STUFF!! I left my ring on the bed after putting lotion on and left. I ''disappeared'' I guess beside it was "never turned in or reported as found " I called back several times to check and never got my engagement ring back.
