Day 265 of #365poems!

#poem   #poems   #poetry

I am writing one poem every day in 2016, and I am using the hashtag #365poems to docum...

This week's Five Star Mixtape great blog roundup is brought to you by the importance of weirdos, knowing that it really is about race, and Elizabeth Jane Howard: You have to put writing first. If I was mooning after someone… I wouldn't be focused. I wasted a lot of my life on men, but I think a lot of women novelists have. — Elizabeth Jane Howard — Happy reading! You need to see what I've been into lately if only to listen to Mitski.
1. The MoMA has published galleries of photos of their exhibitions dating back to 1929. 2. There was a gigantic data breach at Yahoo earlier in the summer, but we're only hearing about it now. Swell. 3. Does anyone else think it's weird that Bank of America has anything to say about whether we live in The Matrix or not? 4. We don't all lose our virginity in the Paris catacombs, thankfully, but it doesn't s...

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the ONE Town Hall in Montreal 1. I went to the ONE Town Hall when I was in Montreal recently, and I got this extremely blurry picture of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. 2. I went to the Town Hall as part of the ONE Canadian Leadership Summit in Montreal just over a week ago, and it was an incredible experience to learn about global extreme poverty and what is being done and what ...

I had never stayed at executive suites like this — I've only used hotels before — and I will definitely be back. It felt like moving into a home away from home with the fully outfitted kitchen, walk-in closet, comfy beds, and washer/dryer. We shopped for groceries at the fantastic Sunterra Market downstairs, walked to a barbershop and local restaurants, and we actually stayed in more than we thought we would because the place was so cozy. Thanks so much the great stay, Roseman! I'm already making plans to come back.

I ate there for the first time this morning after being told repeatedly that their dim sum was fantastic, and it was no word of a lie. We ate until we couldn't move, it was all delicious, the service was good, and the prices were definitely affordable. I will be going back. A lot.
