{new post} Fragrant Boiled Artichokes with Lemon Butter Dipping Sauce

It's spring so artichokes are in season! You've probably seen them popping up in your local markets. They're a little odd looking & mayhaps intimidating from the thorns, but don't let that stop you from fixing them at home!

Here is my favorite EASY method for cooking and enjoying them (bite by bite dipped in lemony grass-fed butter or ghee)!

{new post} Grass-Fed Beef Lettuce Wraps

My latest recipe is super yummy lettuce wraps made with grass-fed ground beef! To make them more filling (wraps are easy to demolish), I added in plenty of chopped cabbage, carrot & onion to the mixture and extra veggies on top, which also gives them a wonderful crunch.

If you have the basic ingredients on hand, this is easy to throw together in about 30 minutes (20-ish if you're fast or have a helper to prep the veggies).

Peanut Butter Eggs used to be my FAVORITE Easter candy, but I stopped eating most commercial candies (even though they taste great) cause they're filled with gross, semi-unidentifiable ingredients.

Thankfully I've found an easy homemade recipe that'll taste just as good! You can eat the whole batch and not feel about about it. Let's be real...who can resist them?

"In an attempt to revive slumping RoundUp sales, Monsanto today announced it would begin serving RoundUp based mixed drinks in the high-end cafeteria of the company’s St, Louis, MO based corporate headquarters.

Monsanto’s bold announcement comes on the heels of Monsanto supporter and scientist Dr. Patrick Moore insisting Monsanto’s broad spectrum herbicide RoundUp was safe enough to drink."

Finally! This will help Monsanto in their mission to make sure the whole world can afford quality alcoholic cocktails! #savingtheworld   #dontwasteadrop

Yum! I've been eating SO much cabbage lately. Roasted, pan-fried, added to other savory recipes. I don't eat slaw often, but LOVE it with pulled pork or shredded BBQ beef. I'll have to make this soon!

South American Slaw is one of my favorites when I’m eating spicy barbeque. Usually I make my brisket spicy and this slaw compliments it perfectly. The tanginess with a hint of sweet calms my taste buds down enough for me to enjoy spicy foods. Here is the recipe, so you to can try to enjoy it!

Ingredients:

3 to 5 lbs of chopped or shredded slaw mix (depending on how wet or dry you want it)
2 cups Apple cider vinegar
1 Tsp Salt
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Light Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp Lime Juice
Mayo (optional)
Combine all ingredients except slaw, mayo and mix well. Add slaw mix to this dressing then add desired amount of mayo. Store in fridge for 2 hours, stir then serve.

I like it without the mayo

Recipes are simply an outline; it is not concrete. Don’t be afraid to make changes to suit your taste or to experiment and try something different!
