The customer service is the worst I've seen in a long time. I have attempted to call over ten times, only to speak with Natiley an operator, along with another young lady in another guy all operators working during the hours of 9:49pm EST on 06/24/2015. The last guy then stated that "the Front Desk must not be answering", and transfers me to a none stop ringing number. Working in Customer Service for over eight years, in seeing such behavior means leadership needs to handle business. Otherwise my quality money will go elsewhere.

I come to PR 4-6 times a year on business. I have stayed all over the island but have never seen such a security nightmare. The hotel looks great when you walk in but it stops there. The rooms are old and in much need of updating (even with an upgrade). The staff does not care if you stay or not. I was awakened each day between 2am - 4am with wild parties on the floor and people running up and down the hall in and out of rooms. When I complained that I could not sleep and needed to check out, they said "fine". I asked them to give me what they thought was an appropriate credit for not getting sleep and not feeling safe, and they said $50 and we wont charge you for checking out early. Talk about customer service! THAT IS NOT IT! Take your points and your money and stay at the Embassy Suites, the Hampton Inn, the Hilton Caribe for a much more secure and satisfying stay. This place is a joke and they dont care if you stay or not. If the management feels this way, now I know why the staff treats guests this way. Hilton should be ashamed to put their name on this hotel. As a Diamond Member, I expect better and usually get it. Not here.

This hotel caters more to locals than tourists. The beach and pool are nice however the pool blasts music all day. Thursdays -Saturday the lobby becomes a wierd club atmosphere. The rooms are decent but not soundproof at all and they lack a balcony. the Internet is spotty and there is warm but not hot water in the shower. The casino is nicer than most and does have a craps table at night. Hotel service is "island service" ; things happen on their own time not the customers. I stayed at the intercontinental next door last time. If you are staying in Isla verde I'd recommend the Intercontinental over San Juan. This property does have a full starbucks

Okay, so where do I start? You walk into a very nice entry way that almost looks like you're in Vegas. You check in, after standing at the front desk for 20 minutes with no help they finally come from the back and check us in. Then you go on up to the room that over looks a very ugly rooftop that is covered in blue tarp. Now let's talk about the room... it's cold, all tile floors, toilet has someone else's hair around it, bed spread has holes in it, shower looks dingy and dirty, but who cares right? We're in San Juan! Well, that night after going to the bar with a bunch of 80 year olds, I go to my room and realize I forgot my toothbrush. I walk down to the front desk and again, nobody to be found. Finally a nice man comes and tells me to call from my room and they will bring one right up. I call as directed, and get transferred 10 times. Finally someone picks up and says "what" like I'm interrupting them. So, I go back downstairs to the front desk for help, he sends me back to my room and again, I wait. I just want to shower and go to bed! I get upset, go back downstairs and thankfully, there is a store open and I buy a toothbrush. As I'm walking by the front desk, the employee holds up a toothbrush and says, "I got one for you." Really? Now, I'm showered, ready for bed, I hop in, and I fall asleep... but not for long! I wake up itching all over my arm. I turn on the light and don't see a mosquito or anything but I have a trail of red bites all over my arm!!!I'm pretty sure there were bed bugs in my bed! I freak out and call the front desk and they tell me that it's no worry, just sand fleas! REally? Because I didn't go to the beach! This was just not an overall good feeling and if I can keep anyone from going here, I will. I was told that Condado is a much better area to stay in. The so called- beach front isn't nice either, the water is murky and cigarette butts everywhere!

My honeymoon is ruined. My husband and I came here wanting a relaxing honeymoon and instead we got the complete opposite. We had an oceanfront room separate from the main tower. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU COME HERE. First off, this place is not a place for honeymooners. The first night we were here we had a drunk man BANG on our door at 3AM non-stop until we called the front desk (a great welcoming). The next day my husband called the front desk to complain about our first night here and they apologized and gave us a cabana for a day. The following days by the pool were spent trying to chase down the servers for drinks and food. Something I have never had to do at any resort. The restaurants here are overpriced and the food is TERRIBLE (the only decent meal we had here was the italian restaurant which was expensive). Thursday through Sunday the resort turns into a complete party scene which is obnoxious for couples wanting a relaxing getaway. Not to mention you can hear the conversations clearly in the room next to you. We had fireworks go off at 10PM literally right outside our room which was very loud. At the breakfast place here they charge $25/PP for picked over gross food. Not impressed. For the kind of money we spent on this trip I expect BETTER. Yesterday I tried calling the Spa to get a prenatal massage for stress-releif and comfort as my doctor recommend and I had the lady on the phone laughing at me for wanting a doctors ordered pre-natal massage. Horrified by the treatment my husband complained to the front-desk who were extremely unprofessional as I spent the day crying in bed by my dissatisfaction of our honeymoon. The salon owner and hotel didn't get back to us when they said they would so again, we had to chase down the staff here. The salon offered me a manicure or a blow-dry which I didn't think was acceptable for the amount of distress it caused me. The salon owner apologized for the way I FELT. I've never ever had a terrible vacation before on the caribbean, and this is a first. DO NOT COME HERE. My honeymoon is ruined after we spent $5000 for wanting a relaxing vacation. We will never get our honeymoon back and the Hilton has not lived up to our expectations. My husband and I are canceling our hilton points for work travel. If you are looking for a GHETTO party scene, then this is your place.

Pros: Hotel is off the beach. Three Pool's to use, the two pools closest to the beach are 3.5 feet deep, suited more for children and families. The pool closest to the hotel is 5.5 feet deep at its deepest. Pool has a bar. Hotel offered yoga several days in the week. I would consider the yoga class as gentle yoga. Large rooms. Casino. lots of restaurant choices at the hotel. staff seemed friendly and helpful to me. many local restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. Cons: Dress code, restaurants are very pricey at the hotel...recommend not eating there, many local restaurants near buy. the SPA seemed very pricey. 180$ for an 80 min message. was charged for restaurant to my room that I didn't charge...this was taken care of and removed from my bill. The biggest Con: the hotel resort fee, $18.00 a day, I knew about this before going only because I read reviews, I totally believe this is a scam, you don't really get anything for it. This can really be a deal breaker, I don't understand why they do this. The room had a refrigerator, so to save money I went to the local 24 hour grocery store. the store was about an 8 minute walk from the hotel. they carry beer and wine, fresh vegetables and fruits pretty much anything you could want.

I am a Hilton diamond member and booked a corner room on 8th floor. Walked into our dirty room with moldy shower and a big hairy booger stuck to the top of the bathroom counter. I was told this was an upgraded room at checkin so I would not get my diamond upgrade like all other Hilton hotels offer. I guess this booger is made of gold and is part of the upgraded room experience.
