Our adopted country in KG2A is Vietnam. And in Vietnam we also celebrate the lunar new year. We call it Tet. The children honoured their adopted country today by singing a traditional Vietnamese new year song. They also learnt how to wish a happy new year in Vietnamese: Chuc Mung Nam Moi! It was fun and interesting to learn about different ways to celebrate this big event. We discovered that it is very similar to the way Chinese New Year is celebrated but a few distinctions make it different. - Ms. Sonia

"EIS Christmas Celebration 2017 (Early and Primary Years)"

The festivity of Christmas was exhibited school-wide last Thursday and Friday, 14 & 15 December 2017 at EIS. Various activities were organised inside and outside homerooms. Students, Staff and Parents were seen exchanging gifts. Our Early and Primary Years gave us spectacular performances during their concert on Thursday, 14 December. It was followed by the Secondary Christmas concert the next day with stage acts, singing, dancing, acting and playing instruments in solo, duo and in a group.

We had a Christmas Fun Fair also on Friday where students in Business Studies sell Home-baked goods and secondary installed game booths to raised fund for the children of Rotary Children Home.

What a great way to end the semester and to celebrate Christmas. Excelsior International School is wishing you all a blissful Christmas! Happy Holidays, everyone!

Group of our parents did a "Yankee Swap" gift exchange. The rule was to pick a gift or steal it from the other participants. They made traditional gift giving fun and exciting.
