Keith Law, my new hero!
Defending scientific knowledge got a young ESPN reporter suspended. Now he's back and doesn't seem to have learned his lesson. Way to go, Keith Law!

After a stray dog met a team of Swedish adventure athletes in Ecuador, he ran for miles through rough terrain and swam alongside them to keep up. Now Arthur the dog is famous — and it all started with a meatball.

All of us who do wildlife rescue have these scenes etched in our memories;  now here's someone capturing them for everyone to share.  Beautiful!
Nanjiska, a Snowy Owl with extensive wing damage, was a resident in the center's outreach program, which currently features a Bald Eagle named Freedom. Sarvey is one of more than a thousand wildlife rehab facilities in the country, many of which also offer educational presentations and ...

Wearable tech for our best friends:
NPR Social Tools
Wearable tech is popping up everywhere, and now there's a new vest that has GPS, can make phone calls and can talk back like Siri. But it's not for people — it's for service dogs.

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness covers over one million acres of untamed natural beauty in northern Minnesota. This vast expanse of woods and water is virtually untouched since the glaciers melted and created over a thousand crystal-clear lakes.

Renowned for its canoeing and fishing, it is the most visited wilderness area in the United States and the backbone of the region’s economy, where tourism supports 18,000 jobs and $800 million in annual sales.

Now this amazing ecosystem is at risk from sulfide mining, a particularly risky type of mining that’s never been permitted in Minnesota before.

Show your support for protecting this national treasure for our children and grandchildren.

Two Minnesotan volunteers, Dave and Amy Freeman, are paddling 2,000 miles to DC to deliver their petition to save the Boundary Waters. They've covered their canoe with signatures asking the White House to take action. Will you add your name to their canoe petition?

TAKE ACTION: Protect the Boundary Waters Wilderness from mining! Sign the petition!

Consistent, reliable and mostly customer friendly. Speeds are good, even in remote locations, price is reasonable and this isn't one of the mega-corporations that's going to try to sell you five other things and then use your hard earned cash to fund Koch Industries' candidates in national elections.
