Circloscope A-Z for Google+ Circle Management:

Old Circloscope instructions are invalid as of June 17th.
You should uninstall old Circloscope and install new one from circloscope.com/install for FREE.

A) Install Circloscope and run it:
1- Go to www.circloscope.com
2- Click the blue install button to install it on Chrome browser
3- You'll notice Circloscope icon in Chrome toolbar. Click it!
4- Choose your personal/page account to use Circloscope on

B) Buy and activate premium features:
1- Buy a premium license for $47/year at circloscope.com/order.php. Send an email to circloscope@gmail.com if you don't use PayPal.
2- Send an email to circloscope@gmail.com and specify which G+ personal profile you want the premium features to be activated for.
3- You'll receive an email soon, with activation instructions. You'll be automatically able to use premium features on the pages you manage as well.

C) Find and remove inactive profiles from your circles:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- You may want to follow instructions in (Q) to exclude some circles (e.g. exclude your family/friends circle from this analysis)
3- Press "shift+s" to select all
4- From the left column: "Load > Data > Activities"
5- Wait for the process to finish.
6- Press "shift+u" to unselect all
7- From the left column: "Filter > Inactivity > set Min to 7 days if you want to find people who have been inactive in the last 7 days".
8- Select the ones you want to remove (or press "shift+s" to select all)
9- From the left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Remove from all circles"

D) Find and remove uncirclers (those who don't follow back):
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- You may want to follow instructions in (Q) to exclude some circles (e.g. exclude your family/friends circle from this analysis)
3- From the left column: "Filter > Relationship > One-way (you-follow)"
4- Select the ones you want to remove (or press "shift+s" to select all)
5- From the left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Remove from all circles"

E) Find your followers and add them to your circles:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From the left column: "Load > Data > Followers"
3- Wait for the process to finish. You'll see a list of people who follow you but you have not added them to your circles.
4- Select the ones you want to add (or press "shift+s" to select all)
5- From the left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

F) Find and add engagers who +1/reshare/comment on your posts:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From the left column: "Load > Data > Ripples > paste the url of the Google+ post you want to analyze engagers of"
3- Wait for the process to finish.
4- From the left column: "Filter > Engagement > +1/reshare/comment"
5- Select the ones you want to add (or press "shift+s" to select all)
6- From the left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

G) Visualize the people most relevant to you according to Google:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From the left column: "Filter > Relevance"
3- Set "Min" to 0 to see all people who are relevant to you
4- From left column: "Filter > Sorted by > Relevance"
5- Select the ones who you want to be in your image
6- From left column: "Action > Visualize selected > Mos relevant"

H) Export your circles data to csv/txt:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- Select the ones you want to export (or press "shift+s" to select all)
3- From the left column: "Action > Export selected"

I) Import Gmail contacts into circloscope and add them to circles:
1- Go to your Gmail contacts
2- Export your contacts to "google csv" format
3- Open the csv file using a text editor and copy its content
4- Open Circloscope and choose your account
5- From the left column: "Load > Data > Google+ IDs > paste csv content here"
6- You'll (hopefully) see Google+ profiles now.
7- Select the ones you want to add (or press "shift+s" to select all)
8- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > add to a circle"

J) Add people to special circles, based on their locations:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Filter > Lives in > e.g. type London"
3- Select the ones you want to add to the special circle (or press "shift+s" to select all)
4- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

K) Add people to special circles, based on their education:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Filter > Attended > e.g. type University"
3- Select the ones you want to add to the special circle (or press "shift+s" to select all)
4- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

L) Add people to special circles, based on their employment:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Filter > Worked at > e.g. type Google"
3- Select the ones you want to add to the special circle (or press "shift+s" to select all)
4- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

M) Find duplicate profiles in your circles:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Filter > Copies"
3- Set "Min" to 1 in order to find people who are in more than 1 circle

N) Find and add people from a shared circle:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Load > Data > Shared Circle > paste URL of the Google+ post which contains the shared circle"
3- Select the ones you want to add to your circles (or press "shift+s" to select all)
4- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

O) Find and add people from a Google+ Community:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- From left column: "Load > Data > Community > paste URL of the community which contains the people you want to add"
3- Wait for the process to finish (or cancel if it takes too long)
4- Select the ones you want to add to your circles (or press "shift+s" to select all)
5- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

P) Remove profiles from a specific circle (not all circles):
1- Select the profiles you want to remove
2- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Remove from a circle"
3- Now choose the circle you want to remove selected profiles from.

Q) Exclude a circle from your analyzes:
1- From left column: "Filter > Circles > Exclude"
2- Check the circles you want to be excluded.

R) Undo removals which have been done using Circloscope:
1- If you've removed people from your circles accidentally using Circloscope, you should NOT uninstall circloscope until you've finished these steps to undo the removals. Now:
2- Open Circloscope and choose your account
3- From left column: "Filter > Source > Removals"
4- Select the ones you want to add to your circles again (or press "shift+s" to select all)
5- From left column: "Action > Circle Operations > Add to a circle"

S) Switch to another account in Circloscope:
1- From left column: "Load > Account > click the account to switch to"
If your Account is not Shown, Login to the Account (https://accounts.google.com/AccountChooser) and then Click Refresh.

T) How to navigate (via Keyboard) in Circloscope results:
- Press "PageDown" to go to the next page of results
- Press "PageUp" to go to the previous page of results
- Press "Home" to go to the first page of results
- Press "End" to go to the last page of results

U) How to navigate (via Keyboard) in Circloscope results:
- Press "PageDown" to go to the next page of results
- Press "PageUp" to go to the previous page of results
- Press "Home" to go to the first page of results
- Press "End" to go to the last page of results

V) How to select profiles in Circloscope results:
- Press "shift+s" to select all (filtered) results
- Press "shift+u" to unselect all (filtered) results
- Click on a profile thumbnail to select/unselect it
- Drag a rectange around profile thumbnails to select/unselect them

W) How to sort Circloscope results:
1- From left column: "Filter > Sorted by"
2- Choose the criteria for the sort operation
3- Toggle it for ascending/descending order

X) Change the number of results shown per page in Circloscope:
1- Open Circloscope and choose your account
2- On the top black menu: click on "Options"
3- Set profiles per view. (tip: keep it under 50 or it will crash)

Y) Miscellaneous tips:
- Click on the names in thumbnails to open their profiles in a new tab
- Hover your mouse over the names in thumbnails to see more information about them.
- Hover your mouse over various indicator icons inside the thumbnails to see corresponding information.

Z) Get advice on how to do something using Circloscope:
1- Go to circloscope community at https://plus.google.com/communities/105420458293096745250
2- Post your question. There are lots of seasoned Circloscopers there (along with the developer of the tool) who will help you.
