March 2014 Right place at the right time. My wife and I have been looking for a rare Tacoma (Sport Double Cab with Manual Transmission) for a few months through various regions of the U.S.. This truck is so rare, it is usually sold within minutes of entering any region. I just happened to be taking my Tundra in for service when I talked with Conrad who listened to my situation about the rare truck. Conrad was quick to inform me that they had one being shipped to them in a few weeks. Upon hearing this, my wife and I were quick to put a deposit down on the vehicle and secured it for purchase. We knew that the truck would not be available for very long once it was put in their inventory. Keith assisted us when Conrad was not available and made sure that the truck we wanted was secured in our name. Both of them were very courteous and quick to answer any question I had. There was no pressure to purchase anything. Between the two of them, we were able to purchase the Tacoma that we both enjoy because of quality and drive-ability. Gina helped us with financing the vehicle and was able to beat the offer we had from our bank, which was really low to begin with. This saved us additional money in the long run. All of the folks at Wyatt-Johnson Toyota were very nice to my family and they were quick to make our kids feel welcome as we were busy with the purchasing process. Update: September 2014 So this time, I took my 2008 Tundra in to get serviced and I wanted to look at their new Tundras, like I always do. David helped me out by answering any questions I had about the newer trucks. The prices on the 2014 Tundras have dropped considerably since the last time I looked at them. So much that I decided to entertain the idea of trading in my 2008 for a newer model. Toyota offered me a price for my older vehicle that was too low at first (expected) and met me at my offer when I requested the full value for my truck. They then offered us some additional incentives to decrease the value of the new truck even more. For folks reading this, remember, when a dealership offers you money for your trade in, they are trying to buy your business. This negotiation is separate from any other transaction that you are making with them. Now David was very polite and courteous to my wife and I, and he was patient with me when I was being difficult over the price of the 2014 truck. He listened to my position and then acted as a good mediator between the sales department and myself. His actions let me know that my business for him was valued. I do encourage everyone to go to WJ Toyotas website before visiting to see what deals and offers they have for any vehicle that you may be interested in. They publicly post their sales online for folks to see and you can take those postings in to work on purchasing a new vehicle of your choice, if you are in the market for one. The staff there is very friendly and will work with you as best as they can.
