This concept is confusing to little ones and big kids (and even adults at times!): “This happened before you were born. Long before.” How long and what it means has to have a better visual representation, then just a vague and confusing collection of numbers representing a year.

“Are we there yet?”
“I’m bored!”
“How much longer?”
All parents wish they could avoid all of these dreaded children’s complaints. When you’re traveling with your family it can be hard to keep children under control. Many children don’t like sitting still or being in a confined area. It’s up to you to open the gateways for your child’s imagination. We have a few ideas that are not only fun and stimulating, but will also keep your child occupied and happy when you’re on-the-go!

Understanding world time-lines starts with understanding your own one.  What is time?  What is today?  What was yesterday?  What are seasons, years, months, days?  The easiest way to help little ones figure it all out – is to let them feel it, touch it, almost smell it!  How do you touch “seasons” and “years”?  We use toy calendars and clocks to help with that.

When spring is in the air, a lot of schools and regional science clubs organize children science fairs. We need to encourage our children to take part in these events. Science fair projects open new science topics and fields for children of different ages, encourage kids to ask questions and find answers, teach children about scientific method, inspire to experiment and observe, challenge young scientists to present their experiments, and brings parents and children together.

This party probably was one of the most successful ones we ever made. We did it both this year for my dear smiley boy’s six birthday and when his big brother turned four years and years ago. It was just too good to pass the opportunity to do it again. We sent out the invitations and got the wheels rolling…
I love setting the mood in advance with some unique invitations. You are welcomed to download, print, fold and use the ones I’ve created. The second image is filled in as a guide. #birthdayparty   #etpblog   #majicschoolbus

What little girl wouldn't want to be a princess? An invitation to the ball… Beautiful fluffy dress… Gorgeous tiara…
An invitation to the ball is in the mail. Princess party is always one of my favorites! I’ll think about a dress later… now I am head over heels in crown production. Every single time we do a princess party, we let the girls decorate their own paper crown with stick on jewels. They enjoy it… but imagine having a real one! Wouldn't it be special?

Learning math concepts can be frustrating for both children and parents. Find the toys that help understanding mathematics. Approved by teachers and parents, these learning playthings will teach kids in the best way – by playing.

I always have a weird feeling around Mother’s Day: that’s one holiday I never get a perfect gift. The “Mom” projects that kids get to do in school are surely cute, but they often lack imagination component, and always lack personality. That is my kid’s personality. I don’t mind getting messy, weird looking and childish scribbly projects that have my kid’s own creativity written all over it. I do mind pretty-teacher-corrected ones that show me how much she is helping/directing them and how little they get to express themselves in those art projects. Well, if I don’t get to enjoy getting Mothers Day projects that come from the bottom of my kids’ hearts, I do get to enjoy making it with them!

Springtime is perfect not only for the flowers blooming on the windowsill and in the yard; it is an awesome time for some flowers blossoming in our Mothers’ Day cards. Being a Mom, I don’t get to enjoy getting a card like that; but I surely enjoy a lot helping them making one for grandma, for my nieces dance recital, for a favorite teacher. Flower mass production is full growing season in our house.

New baby on a block became an inspiration to a real explosion of #small #motor #development activity in my home: crocheting, macrame bracelet weaving, etc. I was thrilled to use the new baby as an excuse to get some fun of my own by making him a cute bunny hat; my kids loved to jump along with the exercise. Wait, didn't I say, that I am lucky mom to a three wonderful boys? Yep, no mistake there! Girls love those activities. Boys enjoy it no less the girls do, and benefit just as much. Everyone needs small motors, weather they’ll use it down the road for writing, engineering, neurosurgeon work… we can keep dreaming.

Weather your little one is a boy or a girl, a well set up kids’ kitchen will attract him like a magnet. All three of my boys went through a phase of playing in a kitchen with a great vigor; every little girl’s eyes just light up as soon as she walks through our door and sees the the collection of toy food and plates to go with it; every single mom had a sigh of relief as soon as everybody is nicely settled in front of our toy refrigerator. Yet all of those images crumbled in comparison when we recently walked into my friend’s kitchen play area. Simple and elegant, with just a few items and witty touches, it had everything a toddler’s or preschooler’s heart could desire. So, here comes the recipe for order and success...

Introduction
At Educational Toys Planet we are thrilled to provide the tools you need to bring fun and learning into the lives of the important children in your life! Every day we help little eyes sparkle, little hands play, and growing brains reach for their full potential. This is our mission and our passion. Some years ago, when we looked at the toy market, we recognized an opportunity created by the gap between what big corporations were offering and what we were looking for as parents and educators.
