And this is how the +Motorola Mobility
that we have grown to love and appreciate over the past 2 years slowly fades away.
What's most troubling are the additional (yet unofficial) reports that I've been privy to regarding the Moto suite of applications. You know the apps I'm talking about. They're the apps that make a Motorola phone great. The apps that tweak stock Android into a wonderfully well oiled machine. I've heard that the Moto apps team was ALL laid off, Moto Voice, Moto Display, etc., ALL GONE. I heard that Lenovo's mobile group are coming in and will be taking over those apps and associated services.
And what a horrible time for this announcement to come. Why would you do layoffs a couple weeks before your yearly flagship phones launch? That's going to kill sales all around. No one is going to buy a phone if they're not sure on the stability of the company that made it.
