Feels like I must have forgotten to pay my HF bill and service got cut, band is really lousy where I am at the moment...

Will be on 7100 tomorrow, hoping to hear some of you! Otherwise, what bands do you use these days?

So far, THOR has been the champ here in the East. It's incredibly flexible, and the rx cursor can even be repositioned during RX! Dave Freese really hit a home run with THOR.

We have just released a new version of Wizkers:Radio - we now support not only the KX3 but also the KX2 and the Yaesu FT817... and more models to come soon!

As always, Wizkers:Radio provides not only monitoring and configuration, but also CAT control for fldigi through the super reliable XML-RPC protocol, and hamlib for all other hamlib-compatible software.

And it still runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebooks and Android!

We also have a support forum now, at forum.wizkers.io .

More details at at http://wizkers.io/wizkersradio

Oh, and one last thing: Wizkers:Radio is fully open source!

Thanks for the invite! Just did my first QSO with Jim, KI6NJF, everything worked perfect. 15W with a KX3 and dipole.

fldigi's new TCP Kiss mode opens a world of possibilities! UIChat worked right away on my Macbook, great job.

Our second known MAC user. I have added that badge to the Sourceforge profile as well. Thank you for the report.

A new version is imminent which makes the interface even more compact, but the upcomiing extra configuration controls might stretch it back out a bit. We'll have to see.

I will be sitting on 7100 all night long, so when the sun goes down, look for my SOUNDING using probably MFSK32. We have found it to be the best all-around modem so far at least at 500 - 800 mile distances.

Just released version 0.1.8 of Wizkers:Radio, you can now experiment with the SWR Sweeper feature!

Be considerate when doing a band sweep and set your tuner power to as low as practical...

Exchanged a couple of automated requests with KI6NJF from CM87wk to DM14im, over 500km, using 5W on my side and Olivia 8-500, with 100% success... even though band conditions are super bad.

You guys are awesome UIChat ambassadors! That was one of my goals here. The simple power of the semi-auto commands of FSQCall with the flexibility of using the right modem for the prevailing CONDX.

As with FSQCall, UIChat can become a pretty good propagation predictor since you can see which modems and which speeds prevail with auto-responses from key stations.

On the flip side: KK5VD and I did some cool tests yesterday on 40m where we got up to 10PSK63R and THOR50x2.

It's all about what the conditions allow.

The KX3 is a fairly decent signal generator. Experimenting with a SWR sweeper interface as a new mode for Wizkers:Radio - aka poor man's antenna analyzer.

Very sloppy, for small parts especially the store is a mess... Items are stacked seemingly randomly, price at checkout is just as random... Not worth wasting your time on, there are better choices around.
