Redeveloping a website of a business, and seeing how a new design can transform its online image is one of the joys of what I do. Attached is a before and after view of the layout I just developed as viewed in the large 1920px resolution.

The original website is not responsive, left aligned, and was created some years back. The new layout is HTML5, responsive, center aligned, and uses modern styling for all of its elements.

My goal was to retain the approachable aspect of the business while modernizing its look and features, and enhancing its SEO presence. I've included Google's assessment of the page's mobility, and an I-Phone emulator for sake of conversion reference.

Do you have images that need to resize for a responsive layout?  An effective option is to use the "max-width" css property.  Here the image tag is targeted so that all images will scale down to meet the width dimensions of the devices resolution and screensize, but it will never scale larger than its native size.  Very effective!

img {
    max-width: 100%;
    height: auto;

It always surprises me how much many web developers charge.  According to the Better Business Bureau freelancers at my skill level will typically charge between $8,000-$40,000 for a website, and web consultants and agencies will charge $10,000-$50,000 per website.

Our websites start at $600 (HTML5) - $800 (CMS), and most fall in the range of $1500 - $3500.  Of course price shouldn't be the primary consideration, yet I am confident that you will find the quality of our websites comparable in both design and content presentation with the ones that cost 10X more.

A redevelopment for "Mugged By George". This is an online store designed in WordPress with WooCommerce. This is a really good example of modern e-store.

A responsive HTML5 design for Infinity Building Corp. This was a quick build (2 days), which just shows what can be accomplished with a bit of developer grit and lots of coffee.

A question I am asked often about is the difference of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and SEM (Search Engine Marketing).  As you would expect these are related, yet SEO is the optimization of the web pages where as SEM is the marketing after the web pages are completed.

Learn the specifics of both of these on our blog page.
