Very frustrating experience. Process started in June, not finished until August. During initial estimate I was told they could tear down and rebuild with original brick (only replacing some). They also said they could reuse the original stone slab stairs. When they tore it down, they changed the entire job telling us we needed new brick and we had to pour concrete. They did not increase the price. While doing the work, they removed a bush from next to the stairs and drastically trimmed back a tree without informing us. I communicated with Ed and asked that he replace the bush. He agreed. I called weekly and was repeatedly assured that the bush would be replaced. It never came. When the brickwork was finished, they left some touch up unfinished. I called the contractor to have him finish that. It took over a month for them to get that done. In the end, we agreed to knock some money off of the price and I would replace the bush myself. The most annoying thing is: they did really nice work, the steps look great. The biggest problem was their lack of follow through. I didn't like having to manage them them the whole time.

The owner, Ed, was awesome to work with. Genuinely nice guy, honest and a true professional in his craft. We had some extensive masonry work done on our condo building and Ed's crew was on time, safe and took pride in their work. The results were amazing, some of the best masonry work I've seen. Ed and his crew are real experts in masonry.

Edmar Corporation did a great job fixing several problems with my 100 plus year old beautiful greystone. Edmar and his partner help me resolve difficult issues, and went above beyond to resolve the problems. Their price may not be the lowest, it was on par with many other quotes I received and in the end it was well worth the money spend. Ed's years of experience, integrity and diligence made working with him a pleasure.

I met Edward 3 weeks ago, he gave me a quote for a new brick chimney on my English Tudor in Jefferson Park. It was an emergency call because the chimney collapsed one night, thankfully there was nobody around and the only thing that got damaged is my sidewalk and a few planks in my neighbor’s fence. I called Edward in the morning and he was able to meet me the same day and send one of his employees the very next day to cleanup this mess and sort the bricks. Fortunately his guy saved a lot of them and Edward had a supplier who was able to replace whatever was damaged with matching bricks. Within the next few days the new chimney was finished and it looks much better than the original, I can’t even recognize those new bricks. I really like their work so I scheduled re pointing of my entire house before winter – thank you Edward!

Hi Michael, thank you for your kind words. It was one of those "extreme" situations and I'm glad I had somebody available to take care of it quickly.

THEY CLEARLY DON'T BACK THEIR WORK. I CALLED THEM OUT TO COME BACK TO SEE THE TUCKPOINTING WORK THEY DID COUPLE YEARS BACK WAS COMING OFF AGAIN AND STATED THEY WOULD GIVE ME ANOTHER QUOTE. FIRST JOB WAS OVER 13K AND WOULD THINK THEY WOULD FIX A SMALL AREA THEY ACTUALLY WOKED ON AND CALL IT A DAY. WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO GIVE THEM 5 STARS BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD COMPANY TO WORK WITH AND KNOWLEDGEABLE AND CAN DO A DECENT JOB. THEY CALL MAKE QUICK AND COME OUT AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE IF NOT ASAP.

Our condo association will definitely be hiring Edward and his company again this year. They completed two projects for us, some tuckpointing and brickwork on one of our garages as well as replacing our front sidewalk. Edward came out with a quote quickly, arranged for the work efficiently and under budget. I have complete confidence in his expertise and work ethic.

Excellent experience from Edmar from start to finish! From the first estimate, I enjoyed the experience of working with Ed and his team. They rebuilt a brick wall on our property and did it within budget, on time, and with great skill. Highly recommend!

It's always frightening to undertake a project that requires dismantling the infrastructure of your home. Thus, it was no different with me when I asked Edmar to stop a leak that had ruined a bedroom. To do so, they had to remove the capstones of a parapet in the corner of my 4-floor townhouse. It require their building a scaffold to access the area and elevating all the materials needed for the repairs. When they were done, they had installed a waterproof seal, flashing, wicking -- all that had not been there before. With new mortar and properly sloped capstones (another improvement), they were done by 4pm. It was a one-day job! I'm very pleased with the work, the results, and the price. Give Edmar a try!

Hi Jeff, thank you for taking your time and recommending our services! Water can do a lot of damage to a building and sometimes seeing even a small spot on your wall or ceiling should be enough to start investigating.
