While the harrowing images of oil-soaked wildlife and beaches have subsided, science reveals that impacts of the spill are ongoing and significant. Meanwhile, BP continues to dodge accountability for their role in the disaster.
Help us hold BP accountable for the 2010 oil spill. The environmental impacts of the disaster will continue on for years to come.

Yet again, President Barack Obama talked about the need for climate action in his State of the Union address.

2014 was the hottest year on record. We need a plan, Congress. www.edf.org/cGC

With a new year comes new promises and new opportunities – and that also goes for the United States and China, the world’s biggest climate polluters.
Investments in solar energy and other renewable energy sources will cement the nation's recent agreement to curb emissions.

When credibility is your stock in trade, it’s important to have your facts straight. This week, The Wall Street Journal blew it with their methane story. Here's how.
The newspaper's methane story contains a blend of half-baked, fully cooked and – in one key instance – flat-out wrong facts.

Watch "Taking Action to Save Our Earth" - a Google Hangout with blogger Elianne Ramos and EDF campaign manager Lucia Oliva Hennelly tonight at 7PM EST.

This week marks the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, a day in which the global community pauses to celebrate our connection to our mother planet, Pachamama.

Yet, as it has become increasingly clear, one day of the year is not enough. For many communities, Latinos included, the consequences of damage to the environment are something to be dealt with every day. These communities breathe the dirtiest air, live near the dirtiest of polluting power plants, and in the areas most threatened by climate change.

The links between climate, environment and poverty are well documented, and are increasingly the subject of discussion among organizations that focus on environmental justice. This Tuesday, I’ll host a conversation examining these links, as well as the challenges, opportunities and potential solutions to today's most pressing environmental issues.

My guests will be:
• Kathleen Sutcliffe, +Earthjustice
• Jose Gonzalez, +Latino Outdoors
• Lucia Olivia Hennelly,  Environmental Defense Fund
This Hangout On Air is hosted by Elianne Ramos AKA ergeekgoddess. The live video broadcast will begin soon.

If there was ever a signal for Congress to take action and slow America's greenhouse gas emissions, this is it: www.edf.org/cGC

This vehicle could change not just how the world moves through cities, but how it stores and manages electricity.

As 2014 draws to a close, two recent developments show that global temperatures are rising at an alarming rate – and yet, we have more reason to feel hopeful than we did a year ago. www.edf.org/cU8
Melting ice caps, record heat - but all's not gloom as we close out 2014.
