In New Jersey, about 1.9 million voters preferred Republicans in their state legislature, and 1.8 million preferred Democrats. Nonetheless, Democrats won 60% of the seats.

This situation is not unusual. Do you live in a state where the majority of voters won a minority of seats?

"Districting, not redistricting, is the root cause of congressional dysfunction."
A ranked-choice voting system would reduce gridlock and foster dialogue.

When we were looking for a Denton restaurant for our wedding rehearsal dinner, my fiance (now wife) and I had trouble finding a suitable place. Denton seems to have very few nice options. You could go with Hannah's but that can be a budget-buster. We tried a few other restaurants (they shall remain nameless), but the food was poor or, at least, not worth the price. But happily we tried Thai Square. The food is quite good (and much better than Thai Ocha) and comes at a reasonable price. The management worked with us to plan a suitable dinner for 18 people. I will note, that at times their email communication was a bit slow. But everything worked out. They set aside about a third of their dining room for us, served dishes family style with several options at each table. The service was great, responsive, and they threw in some bonus champagne. The price (which they quoted us ahead of time) was quite reasonable. I would happily recommend the place for a similar event or just for some casual dining.

Pj's rented us tents, tables, and glasses, and some other items for our wedding reception. Everything was well done. They were very professional, communication was good, and the gentleman setting up the tents went above and beyond in helping us set up in a way that was appropriate for our venue. Highly recommended!
