Alright, techie friends. I need an opinion.

I'm debating whether or not to run one server that handles web and ssh/ftp together, or two - only allowing web on one and ssh/ftp on the other and connecting them via NFS (with appropriate firewall settings between on a private network).

Am I really gaining anything by separating the machines? Or is a risk a risk? I figure if SSH or FTP gets hacked, it's only the one account's site that gets put at risk.

I think I finally just found the checkbox to record, so we will! So far on the docket, Eric will demo Chef and it's role in server setup or whatever it does. I also expect to have my Raspberry Pi Retro Radio Jukebox done by then, so I can sow off some of it's cooler features like SMS requests. Any other topics welcome!

Serious question: If Google's offerings for iOS are so great - and with Maps, YouTube and G+, they really are - what's my incentive to jump ship and go to Android? Is it better for Google that I just use their platform, even if it's not on their device? I suppose since they don't make money off Android that the data is more important, but I'd like the world's thoughts.

Jewglers (Jewish Googlers) held their annual Chanukah party last night and lit up their not-so-traditional, but very googley, lava lamp menorah. Happy Chanukah!

I have G+ Hangout-ed twice in the last week. Is this thing becoming useful?
