Okay explain something to me. On Twitter, I follow people because they're interesting. Scientists, journalists, friends, colleagues... the uniting factor is that they're interesting. And this melange of people shouting diverse things at me is a feature - it broadens my horizons and pushes things my way that I didn't think I was looking for.

So why would I want to separate people into circles? I've tried. It's boring and somewhat arbitrary. Essentially, I'm starting to think that the best strategy is to separate people into "Really interesting" "Moderately interesting" and "Mildly interesting" circles, for dipping into depending on time.
