Very proud of the UK team, and nice to be able to spell "favourite colour" correctly :)

OK Glass, we’re coming to the UK

Probably the question we’ve heard more than any other is: when will Glass be available outside the US? Well, we’re starting out by dipping our toes across the pond.

Beginning today, we’re extending our open beta Explorer program to the UK. The world sees the UK as a center (actually, a centre) of innovation. It has produced some of the greatest technology inventors and inventions of the last century, and people on the ground are always excited to explore new products and ideas.

So, if you are here in the UK and fancy a demo, RSVP to try Glass at our London Demo Days on June 27-28th at http://londonthroughglass.splashthat.com/ or join the Explorer Program and get Glass at www.google.co.uk/glass

We can’t wait to see you in a few days. In the meantime, get a glimpse of London life #throughglass in this video.

Mark your calendars for next Tuesday ...

Become a Glass Explorer on Tues April 15

Whoops. So... we’d planned to post this next week, but it looks like the cat's out of the bag now. Over the past several months, we’ve been trying out different ways to expand the Explorer program. Some of you signed up at Google I/O, some told us what you would do #ifihadglass , some were referred by a friend, some joined through their school or university. Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too. So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.

Next Tuesday, April 15th at 6am PDT, we’re opening up some spots in the Glass Explorer Program. Any adult in the US* can become an Explorer by visiting our site and purchasing Glass for $1500 + tax – and it now comes with your favorite shade or frame, thanks to feedback from our current Explorers. The number of spots available is limited, so mark your calendar if you want to get in. You can find us on Tuesday at: http://google.com/glass/start/how-to-get-one

We’re excited to meet our new Explorers, and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts about Glass.

*To everyone outside the US... we know. Sorry :( We’re just not ready yet to bring Glass to other countries.

This is awesome and just about the most genuine thing you'll see on V-Day ...

Roses are red, violets are blue, we’re feeling loved-up, but rhyming is lame

The beauty of Glass is that it allows us to capture important moments both big and small. It's not about technology, it’s about the people who use it. Congrats to all our betrothed Explorers in this film, and thanks for sharing your special moment.

Great looks from the team - really excited to see this take shape.

New Frames & Shades for Glass

If we had a nickel for every time someone has asked about prescription lenses for Glass… well, we’d have a lot of nickels. So we want you to be the first to know that the Titanium Collection is here, with a handful of new styles for Glass so you can make it your own. Whether you wear prescription glasses or just want a new look, we’ve got four feather-light titanium frames designed just for you. And if you need prescription lenses and have vision insurance (such as VSP), your policy might even help cover your new frames. Explorers can access the Titanium Collection tomorrow afternoon, along with two new styles of twist-on shades.

This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to hear which style is your style. Check ‘em out on our website, and tell us what you think: google.com/glass

Increasingly our smartphones are being used to send text, photos, and video, but not as phone to make voice calls. A new app, Cord, wants to change all that, by becoming the platform for voice messaging across all your connected devices.

Thanks to all the teachers in my life, and thanks to +Kevin Proudfoot too :)

We all owe so much to the wonderful teachers that inspired us. Today is National Teacher's Day in the US and Google is doing a few things to say "thanks". Check out this lovely video that's sure to make every little kid inside of us remember our favorite teachers. #thankateacher

Awesome, very proud of the team +David Kaufman and +Noelle Kim

Meet Roy Choi. He’s a Glass Explorer, co-founder of Kogi BBQ, and the world famous chef behind the gourmet food truck movement. Step into the kitchen with Roy as he puts a new spin on Irish cooking for St. Patrick’s day. Warning: You may will be hungry after watching this film.

Drooling yet? Well, the Kogi truck will be serving the limited edition East Los Leprechaun Burrito in Los Angeles next week. You can keep tabs on the truck’s schedule at: http://kogibbq.com/.
