Vermont GE Labeling Law Moves One Step Closer to Reality

Unlike other state labeling laws, the Vermont labeling bill (H. 112) is the first bill which will go into effect regardless of actions by other states. Previous GE labeling bills have required that a certain number of states enact similar legislation before they would take effect. +Center For Food Safety #GMO

I don't think everyone is saying all GMO's are bad.
People want longer independent studies on Monsanto's GMO's. Studying any GMO for human consumption for a few months isn't sufficient.
The fact that Monsanto would rather spend millions to avoid further research, and anti GMO labeling rather than disproving critics is disconcerting.
It's substandard science. In CND to introduce a new GMO for human consumption they require 7 years of studies. Monsanto only studied their produces for a few months. The Substantial equivalence law  (looks like corn, taste like corn no long term studies required) STUPID.
No wonder these particular GMO's are being banned in so many countries.

The WA Department of Fisheries ignore an offer by Sea Shepherd and Independent Observers to assist an immobilised baby tiger that was released alive after being caught on one of the Cottesloe drum lines. Upon being released, Sea Shepherd and Independent Observers notice the "released alive" shark sinking to the ocean floor. Another potential victim of the WA Shark Cull.
