Photos of the Montenegro birding trip. After visiting the beautiful medieval city of Dubrovnik and marveling at the stunning scenery of Kotor Bay, the southernmost fiord in Europe, our group had some very good birding too. We enjoyed several Dalmatian Pelicans, flocks of Pygmy Cormorants, Black-necked Grebes, Ferruginous Ducks and Garganeys at Lake Skadarsko. We had prolonged scope views of Western Rock Nuthatch, Blue Rock Thrush, Black-eared Wheatear and Rock Bunting in the hills. About 500 Greater Flamingoes were a real surprise at the saltpans with Marsh and Wood Sandpiper, Spotted Redshank, Black-winged Stilt, Slender-billed Gull, Caspian and Gull-billed Tern as supporting cast.http://ecotourswildlife.co.uk/birding-holidays/europe/montenegroalbania/montenegro

BirdLife Hungary announced the results of the bird of the year 2015 online vote: it is the Eurasian Hoopoe. This reinforces the conservation campaign to create more suitable nest sites until their arrival and breeding in May. The first birds usually arrive in March to Hungary. They are very popular subjects on our bird photography tours. #birdphotography   #birdphotographyworkshops
