The Antarctic Peninsula is home to 6% of the world's majestic Emperor penguins, and 21% of all Adelies. But the region is warming up much faster than almost anywhere on Earth. If its ice sheets disappear, so will many of its penguins. Find out why climate change is such a big threat for them, and why action is needed!

The eight part series will traverse the Arctic, explore deserts, and dive into the great lakes and deep oceans to bring you into intimate contact with the world's rarest animals and most precious habitats. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. That is why we're partnering with the EverydayClimateChange Instagram feed to share real-life images of climate change from around the world. As we aim to drive climate awareness and actions across the globe, we will share one image every week from the acclaimed Instagram feed to showcase the realities of climate change, and the positive change that we can inspire if we act together. To launch our collaboration, we spoke with the Founder of EverydayClimateChange, James Whitlow Delano, to share his experience, vision and hope for climate action.

Local farmers in the Sundarbans are living completely off-the-gird, and have no access to electricity for basic energy needs. They turn to burning kerosene and firewood for cooking, lighting, and heating. This puts their health and safety at great risk. They are also extremely vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, such as extreme weather and coastal erosion caused by rising sea levels. But you have the power to turn this around. Use it today at www.ehour.me/beaconforsundarbans

Companies have a vital role to play in safeguarding our climate. Apart from transitioning to 100% renewable energy and reducing emissions throughout the supply chain, brands and companies can do a LOT to drive action on climate change. Read our new Earth Hour blog post by IKEA to know why and how the world's largest furniture retailer is doing its part for a low-carbon society for all.
As I celebrated Earth Hour this year, I recalled the People’s Climate March last September in New York. Around 400,000 people came together, united behind one cause: to urge world leaders to take action on climate change. That day I met people of all ages and backgrounds, from across the US and around the world. It was a fantastic experience to be among so many people who care about the future of our planet. It was a march for a better future.

From massive floods in India, to typhoons in the Philippines, and severe droughts in Australia and California, the reality of climate change varies from country to country.
What does climate change mean to you where you are? Is there anything being done to combat it? Share your thoughts with us!
