When it comes to women's college hoops, I've always been a Tennessee fan, but UConn has got to have the most dominant team college sports has ever seen, male or female.

We moved our YouTube Nation blog over to Tumblr (farewell, G+ blog posts). This is my most recent post about the haters coming out against all the wonderfully progressive commercials from the past year.

I recorded this Saturday, but I finally decided to go ahead and post it. It's just a brief bit about a video I saw while curating videos for YouTube Nation.

For yesterday's #StumpEarnest, I had to find a video with 10,000 views and no dislikes. I knew someone would downvote it after the show went live, so I captured this for proof!

I visited in the afternoon, and the service left something to be desired. All was forgiven after the drinks arrived. The drinks are expensive but worth it. When you're reflecting on the complexity in a fuzzy navel hours after you drank it, you know your experience has been something special.

Everything about Bella Vista was a surprise. My co-workers and I passed it as we were headed to a different pizzeria, and we turned the car around because we'd never heard of Brazilian pizza before. The restaurant appears to be just another unassuming store front in an otherwise unremarkable shopping center. Open the door, and all your expectations will exit as you enter the restaurant. The dining area is small but bright and airy. If you take a seat in the dining area, you may never realize there's an open air courtyard around the corner from the main dining area. The menu is just as surprising. My friends and I were expecting a typical pizza menu with a few Brazilian options thrown in as specialties. Instead, the menu was comprised mostly of pizza options that were entirely foreign. I chose the Baiana Pizza. As we were ordering our waitress informed us that we could order whole pies or all-you-can-eat for 9.99. This time we ordered whole pies, but next time we'll do the special. When you order the all-you-can-eat, we observed, the waitress just keeps bringing out varieties of pizzas offering you slices. They all looked delicious. While we're on the topic of the waitress, our waitress appeared to be doing everything in this restaurant-- and doing it with aplomb. She never broke a sweat and was pleasant to a fault. If everything else had been miserable, she'd have made the experience tolerable. As it were, everything was delicious, and she made the experience remarkable. The pizzas have thin crusts but are not thin-crust pizzas. The sauce is neither too heavy nor too light. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The pizzas are deceptive. The thin crust makes you think you'll be able to eat much more than you'll be able to. Well, that was the experience for me and my co-worker, but plenty of people in the restaurant seemed to be demolishing slice-after-slice of the all-you-can eat. This is the kind of place that tears you in two. You don't want to let other people know it exists, but you feel a responsibility to do it. If you encounter this review, know that I've only begrudgingly shared it with you, and enjoy your meal.

A quick place to grab a bite but slightly overpriced. The atmosphere is genial and laid-back.

The food here is excellent. I've gotten dinner from Kitchen24 about ten times. Usually, it is delivery which is preferable to going into the actual diner. In the diner, the music is loud, the lighting is lackluster, and the waitstaff often seem like they have other things they wish they were doing. They have also messed up my order on a couple occasions. The thing is, when they get it right, the _really_ get it right.

This is the diner I frequent most often. It features standard diner food at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and fast. My go-to is the grilled chicken dinner. The chicken is flavorful and moist; the same meal is also available with teriyaki. There is nothing on the menu that would put this place on the map, but maybe that's for the best.

This is the secret hideaway you'd have imagined as a kid if you'd known about Korean food, K-Pop, and Soju cocktails. The menu eschews any attempt at fusion designed to make it palatable to Western tastes, but then again everything about the restaurant/bar rejects attempts at assimilation. I ordered Peaches and Ice, which I'd assumed would be a slush. Instead, I was treated to a bowl of peach slices nestled in ice. It was a delicious surprise. The Lemon Soju was cold, refreshing, and plentiful. I would spend a Friday night here, again, without a moment's thought.

Janna's is a nice alternative to the busy chain restaurants on Wilshire Blvd. It's a no-frills mom and pop that specializes in moderately priced sandwiches. I'd heard compliments on Janna's potato salad, and I'd concur. It's sweeter than you'd think it would be, but that makes it almost as much desert as traditional side dish.
